Danell Leyva, who won the bronze medal at the London 2012 Summer Olympics for men’s gymnastics, was honored at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s gala on Saturday October 20, at the Four Seasons Hotel.  Leyva was granted the Hometown Hero Award. The gala was emceed by Lynn Martinez, co-anchor of WSVN’s Deco Drive and celebrity chef Ralph Pagano. 

Also on that Saturday, The Miami Heat’s Ray Allen dined with friends at Villa Azur, staying until closing time.  A source says he was discreet but very approachable. 

R. Kelly celebrated the after party for his concert at LIV on Sunday, October 21. Although he did not perform, he popped champagne bottles with friends and danced and embraced the cheerful crowd.  

Lauren Tannehill, the new spokesperson for Duffy’s Sports Grill, was spotted in West Palm Beach last weekend. She’s on schedule to film some upcoming commercials to promote some new, healthy menu items.

Academy award winner James Caan settled into Café Prima Pasta on Tuesday to film for the second season of the original Starz series Magic City

The entire Kardashian crew (Kim, Khole, Kourtney and Scott) had lunch at Monty’s Sunset on South Beach last Friday enjoying a family lunch and filming for the new season of Kim and Kourtney Take Miami.  On Monday night the Kardashian Klan took over Miami hot spot Zuma to shoot an upcoming episode for the show.

On Wednesday, Italian luxury brand Canali, along with Vice President, USA Giorgio Canali and former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino, hosted the grand opening celebration of the Bal Harbour Shops boutique, with 15 percent of the evening’s proceeds benefitting the Dan Marino Foundation.

On Thursday, Eva Longoria, Sheila E. and Melanie Griffith gathered at a cocktail reception in honor of President Obama at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami 

Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter-producer Juan Luis Guerra had lunch on Wednesday at the brand new, TIKL Raw Bar and Grill on Brickell. 

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West dined in Prime 112’s private room on Monday night.

Olivier Martinez was spotted at his restaurant, Villa Azur, having dinner over the weekend.

To celebrate the upcoming Recent Cinema from Spain Film Series kicking off in Miami on November 8, Cristina Barrios, the Miami General Consul of Spain opened her home to several of her friends, colleagues, socialites and VIPs. In attendance were gorgeous and charming, Real Housewives of Miami Ana Quincoces and Marysol Patton; Silvia Fortune; “telenovela” star Gabriel Valenzuela; Miami artist, Alex Mijares and Miami Trade Commissioner of Spain, Mario Buisan. During the cocktail party, the six films to be screened next month were officially announced.

Shania Twain popped into Zuma Monday night for a quick vegetarian dinner with her husband. A source says she seemed to be in a great mood and was happy to be back at Zuma. Who wouldn’t be?

Miami HEAT NBA Champion Dwyane Wade recently hosted a fashion fundraiser, A Night on the RunWade, for his Wade’s World Foundation at the Moore Building.  The event featured a benefit dinner, live performance and fashion show with clothing from the Webster Miami, Dsquared2 and Neiman Marcus, emceed by fashion correspondent Jill Martin. The cocktail reception included bites from local favorite restaurants – Salsa Fiesta, TIKL, Toro Toro, Prime 112 and City Hall.

On Thursday, Jennifer Lopez arrived at SLS Hotel South Beach around noon with a caravan of tour buses- in town for the final shows of her tour with Enrique Iglesias. JLo was with her boyfriend Casper, twins Max and Emme, manager Benny Medina and her entire dance crew. Later that afternoon, J Lo lounged poolside at Hyde Beach with Casper, her children and a small entourage. Security and Hyde Beach staff made extra efforts to shade JLo from the impending paparazzi. Thursday evening JLo, Casper and her dance crew dined at Katsuya sitting upstairs in the Dragon Lounge. Saturday afternoon J Lo and her family lounged next to the SLS Hotel guest pool while her family enjoyed some shade in one of the pool’s oversized cabanas, JLo opted for some sun and laid poolside in a lounge chair. The family played in the pool and munched on some poolside snacks and drinks all afternoon. 

Grammy Award Winning Super Producer Timbaland launched his new brand LeSUTRA Sparkling Liqueur at Fontainebleau Miami Beach, while kicking off the resort’s BleauLive series through a weekend-long celebration of events and performances over Labor Day weekend. This exclusive, celebrity-studded weekend included poolside parties with delicious LeSUTRA cocktails developed by the resort’s mixologists and a performance on Saturday night by Timbaland, Nas and Missy Elliott. Throughout the weekend, guests enjoyed tastings of LeSUTRA and celebrated BleauLive performance series’ one year anniversary. 

Spanish soap opera heartthrob, William Levy had an ultra exclusive, invitation-only birthday party on Saturday night at The Forge. Levy and 60 of his closest friends came and enjoyed dishes specially created by Executive Chef Dewey LoSasso. Levy shared memories and reminisced about times in Miami with good friends, Herman and Alexia Echevarria, RHOM star and editor ofVenue magazine. 

Zuma was a celeb hotspot this week.  Suge Knight, rap star music producer to 2Pac, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dog, had a business meeting over Sapporo Reserve at Zuma last Friday afternoon. Later that evening, Lenny Kravitz, had a late dinner at Zuma with close friends. They dined on Zuma favorites such as wagyu beef, black cod and king crab. All were in good company and seemed to be having a very nice time at dinner.

Miami Dolphins player Cameron Wake dined at STK with his girlfriend on Friday night. The couple ordered the signature Lil’Burgers and Porterhouse to share accompanied by broccolini and truffle fries. Jacksonville Jaguars player Marcedes Lewis also dined at STK on Friday night with a party of eight.

Both LeBron James and the Estefans were spotted at Zuma Miami last week on different nights. King James celebrated his beloved fiancée, Savannah Brinson’s birthday at Zuma on August 26th. They were with close friends and family in the Private Dining Room where they all enjoyed Zuma’s king crabs, rock shrimp and black cod to name a few signature dishes. The vibe of guests were happy, relaxed and even James himself was enjoying his last month off before he goes back to the court for basketball training. At the end of the meal, a beautiful peacock cake was brought out for Savannah, all lit up with sparkles.

Last Wednesday, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, enjoyed dinner with longtime friend Gary Nader at Zuma Miami. With the CW’s newly aired singing competition series, The Next, in which Gloria is one of the mentors, the Estefans had a lot to share over dinner and enjoyed the time catching up their dear friend. They enjoyed a variety of Zuma favorites.

Gabrielle Union was spotted at The Cheese Course last week with an associate.

Kim Kardashian was spotted holding hands with Kanye West while heading to photo studio for a racy photo shoot, about which she later Tweeted.
