Chad Ochocinco and Morgan More

Miami Dolphins wide receiver and reality star, Chad Ochocinco, was seen filming season one of his new reality show, Ev and Ocho, Tuesday at The Catalina Hotel, with fiancé Evelyn Lozada. The couple was surrounded by film crews and a barrage of producers as they sat together at the hotel’s Asian restaurant, Kung Fu Sushi. Kung Fu restaurant manager, and fiery star of The Catalina reality show, Morgan More, welcomed them on-camera and sat them down in private outdoor seating. Hotel owner and cast member of The Catalina, Nathan Lieberman, accidentally pulled-up on-camera in his roaring re-built 1973 Ford Bronco, in which Ochocinco is very interested.

Oprah Winfrey was seen leaving the AAA on Monday after interviewing the Big 3.

Dwyane Wade and Joel Anthony got groomed and pampered at NailBar & Beauty Lounge in Midtown a day after their big win.

George Bush’s daughter Jenna-Bush Hager was spotted at The Forge Restaurant | Wine Bar with a group of girls for a bachelorette party for a close friend on Saturday night.

Argentine soccer player, Ángel Fabián di María Hernández, who currently plays as a winger for Spanish La Liga club Real Madrid and the Argentine National Team was spotted dining at Gotham Steak in the Fontainebleau Miami Beach last Friday.

Two international soccer stars from rival teams found themselves side by side eating dinner in the private dining room at Cafe Prima Pasta Friday night. Argentinean Lionel (Leo) Messi enjoyed a late night dinner with 12 members of his family. Diego Forlan (Uruguay) sat less than five feet away where he also dined with family at a large table. A large group of fans and young kids waited for hours outside in the rain for a glimpse of their “futbol heroes” who didn’t leave the restaurant until almost 2 am. The stars didn’t disappoint, signing autographs and posing for pictures upon their departure.

CSI:Miami’s David Caruso was celebrating the Miami Heat victory this past week at Serendipity 3 on Lincoln Road, he was spotted sharing one of their signature hot fudge sundae’s with two blondes.

Morgan Freeman was seen dining with friends in the downstairs dining room at Gotham Steak last Thursday. 

NBA baller Carlos Boozer from the Chicago Bulls was seen relaxing and cheering on his fellow NBA players from The Miami Heat during the championship action last Thursday at Monty’s Sunset on the beach. 

Star NFL athlete and 2011 NFL Defensive Player of the Year for the Baltimore Ravens, Terrell Suggs, took his filmmaking talents to South Beach with the premiere of the feature film The Coalition. Produced by Team Sizzle Films and directed and co-written by Monica Mingo, the world premiere screening was held in the landmark Colony Theater in Miami Beach on Thursday. The Coalition was screened for two sold out houses during the festival.

Vivica Fox and Garcelle Beauvais sported Francoise Elizee handbags at the Catwalk for Charity event at The Mandarin Oriental hosted by Kimora Lee Simmons to benefit the children of Haiti.

Recently engaged and very skinny, Miley Cyrus was spotted in and around the Delano pool with longtime friend/assistant Cheyne Thomas.

Michelle Hunziker was spotted sunbathing in South Beach.

After beating the Boston Celtics in game 7 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday night, Lebron James stopped by our favorite private members club with an entourage to celebrate and wish yours truly a very happy birthday.  Here’s how it went down:

MJS:   “Thank you for winning tonight on my birthday.”

LJ:       “I did it for you, Happy Birthday!”

MJS:   “It’s about time.” (I don’t think he heard this last part, as he high fived and kissed my hand.  But seriously- SEVEN GAMES???!!!)

 

Alonzo and Tracy Mourning were also seen at the club that night.

Chris Bosh and his wife Adrienne celebrated the big win in style at Villa Azur Restaurant & Lounge. They shared signature dishes and toasted the Heat’s spot in the NBA Finals with Moêt & Chandon Rosé.

Over the bridge, Doc Rivers, Head Coach of the Boston Celtics was seen eating his sorrows away at Puerto Madero in Brickell. 

Chino y Nacho, Grammy and Latin Grammy winning celeb duo performed at the Johnnie Walker Black Label party “Conquista La Noche” at Grand Central on Friday night.   The VIP concert drew a full house of overjoyed fans, who cheered on as the celebs sang hits including “Tu Angelito” and “Niña Bonita” for over an hour.

Miami Beach developer Scott Robins launched his new venue, Studio 743, last Thursday night in the former Chaos nightclub space.  Robins hosted a sneak preview to a crowd of industry VIP’s, TV, film and event producers with a lavish party to show off his new 6,000 square foot event space on Washington Avenue. Cuisine Works handled all the nibbles for the night while Funkshioin’s Sale Stojanovic was responsible for the décor. The space is available for rent for photo shoots, special events and film shoots. Earlier this week, actress JoMarie Payton (who played Harriet Winslon on the TV show Family Matters) was seen scouting the space as a possible location to shoot her new upcoming television program.

Longtime Miami Beach residents and Nikki Beach owners Jack and Lucia Penrod along with their partner Eric Omoré celebrated 10 Years of having a pop-up location in Cannes, France during the this year’s 65th Annual Cannes International Film Festival which took place May 16 – 27. During the celebrity studied festival, the stars flocked to Nikki Beach’s two fabulous locations nestled right in the heart of all the action on the famous Boulevard de la Croisette, Nikki Beach La Plage at the Grand Hôtel, and Nikki Beach La Terrasse, a private space situated on the rooftop of the JW Marriott Cannes. Featuring the classic white décor prevalent at all Nikki Beach locations globally, Nikki Beach Cannes provided delicious cuisine, stellar European service and endless enjoyment during the sun-drenched days and sultry nights. Throughout the 2012 festival, notable guests including Eva Longoria, Naomi Watts, Paris Hilton, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Shemar Moore and LMFAO’s Redfoo spent time at Nikki Beach sipping on Piper Heidsieck champagne and dining on sushi and Petrossian caviar. On Sunday, May 27, Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade celebrated his son’s birthday at the Adrienne Arsht Center with an all-out pizza party and a show. About 30 friends and family members, including actress Gabrielle Union, joined Wade for Zion’s 5th birthday fete, which included gourmet catering by Barton G, a jungle-inspired two story cake and participation in a sold-out performance of Disney’s The Lion King, which is playing to packed houses at the Center through June 10. After the musical concluded, Wade and family were invited backstage to meet cast members Syndee Winters (Nala) and Jelani Remy (Simba).

Actor Lance Gross and his entourage held court at The Rooftop at Perry South Beach’s Rx Pool party series over the weekend, where he and his friends were seen sipping cocktails and taking a dip in the plunge pool.

Miami Beach resident Christian Slater made a stop by Monty’s Sunset on the beach while walking his basset hound last Thursday to catch the Miami Heat game. 

Sunglasss Hut celebrated the launch of its new flagship store (now the largest store in the USA) on Lincoln road Wednesday night with a summer BBQ themed party on the roof top of the 1111 Lincoln road parking garage. Guests included Gabrielle Union and the pop music duo Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan of the band KARMIN

Miami Marlins pitcher Ricky Nolasco was spotted “popping bottles with models” at WALL lounge Tuesday night, during the Favela Beach party. The ace had good reason to celebrate, coming off a record-setting win vs. the Colorado Rockies earlier that evening, which made him the winning-est pitcher in franchise history (formerly Dontrelle “D-Train” Willis). Nolasco signed an autograph or two, in between cocktails.

Earlier on Tuesday night, the Catalina Hotel was abuzz when the cast of The Catalina reality show made its first public appearance together for the red carpet premiere party. Soon-to-be ex-husband of Kim Kardashian, Kris Humphries, showed-up solo at Kung Fu, the hotel’s popular sushi restaurant where the premiere party took place, to show support for his good friend, Adrian Baschuk, co-executive producer of the new reality show which debuted on May 29th on The CW. Humphries tucked himself away in the side room of the hotel’s restaurant, and was quickly greeted by several good-looking blonde women, who circled him while he watched the Miami Heat thrash the Indiana Pacers on the big-screen TV behind the bar.

Amare Stoudemire, famed NBA basketball player for the New York Knicks, was seen shopping for healthy grub at Whole Foods Market in Pembroke Pines last weekend.

The Men In Black 3 Miami Red-Carpet screening featuring Pitbull started off with a surprise flash mob, as more than 130 suited agents invaded Lincoln Road to perform a choreographed routine to the hit song “Back in Time.” Pitbull himself came out to witness the action as he greeted fans along the way, enjoying the sight of the huge crowd of dancers and onlookers alike having fun with his latest tune. Following the flash mob, the recording artist took a few moments to thank everyone for coming out and supporting his film, signed posters, and greeted the hundreds of fans in attendance.

Pitbull then joined fellow celebs, rapper, Trina; Braylon Edwards, NFL Player, DJ Chino; Phresh Kidd Ice, musician, and Ted Lucas, founder of Slip N’ Slide Records for photos before dropping a signed photo of himself in the MIB3 time capsule.

The Miami Dolphins Foundation just completed its largest fundraising event of the year, FinsWeekend, which took place from May 17 through 19, at Turnberry Isle Miami and the Miami Beach Marina. The three-day extravaganza featured an exciting weekend of golf, fishing and celebrities. Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, CEO Mike Dee, GM Jeff Ireland, Sr. VP/Dolphin great Nat Moore and Head Coach Joe Philbin took part in the event with a host of players including Reggie Bush, Matt Moore, Cameron Wake, Karlos Dansby. Miami Dolphins cheerleaders, Big 105.9 host Paul Castronovo participated in activities. The JW Marriott Marquis Miami (Hotel Beaux Arts) hosted the 10th annual FedEx/St. Jude Angels & Stars Miami Gala on Saturday night, for which a slew of high-profile individuals gathered to celebrate the 50th anniversary of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  A-list celebs staying at the hotel over the weekend included Colombian music sensation Juanes and Grammy-winning, Spanish pop singer David Bisbal, both staying at the Hotel Beaux Arts, and Dominican, singer songwriter Juan Luis Guerra.  Other celebrities attending the gala included: Ricky Martin, Alejandro Sanz, DJ David Guetta, TV personality actress, Giselle Blondet, and Daisy Fuentes, to name a few.  Check back next week for gala coverage and photos. 

While staying at the Hotel Beaux Arts on Saturday, Grammy award-winner Juan Luis Guerra had an early dinner at db Bistro Moderne. Later that evening, Latin Grammy winner Juanes also dined at db Bistro Moderne with Miss Universe 2001 Denise Quinones and guests.

Anthony Mackie

Actor Anthony Mackie was spotted at WALL on Saturday night. 

Chelsea Lately panelist-slash-Jenny Craig spokesperson Ross Mathews and his partner were at Haven Gastro-Lounge in South Beach last Monday night enjoying Chef Todd Erickson’s specialties. Matthews – in town for the Latin Billboard Awards – spent the week lounging at Hotel Breakwater’s rooftop penthouse.

MSNBC anchor Thomas Roberts dined at The Forge Restaurant | Wine Bar in the library with a friend. Marc Anthony hosted a dinner for 12 at the Forge that included Grammy Award winner Chayanne and singer/songwriter Marco Antonio Solis in honor of his Maestro Cares foundation launch. Anthony also celebrated the launch of Maestro Cares Foundation at the Shelborne South Beach

Michael Jordan enjoyed dinner at Café Prima Pasta, late Sunday evening with model fiancée Yvette Prieto. Joe Jackson, along with other members of the Jackson family, also dined at the popular Italian bistro.

The Latin Billboard Music Conference took place last week at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami. Billboard Latin Music Award winner Pitbull participated in a Superstar Q&A, where he discussed his rise to the top, his music process and his entrepreneurial ventures.  Mr.305-turned Mr. Worldwide also participated in the panel The Anheuser Busch/Pitbull Partnership: A Case Study.

Bravo TV’s most stylish man Brad Goreski hosted last weekend’s Ocean Drive magazine & Loews Miami Beach Hotel Girlfriends’ Getaway Weekend.

Commissioner Michael Góngora attended the “100 Days to Go” Olympic Celebrity Event held on Ocean Drive on April 18 along with boxing great Lennox Lewis and British Consulate-General Kevin McGurgan. 

Local PR mogul, Edward de Valle II, Founder and CEO of AMGW Agency, a global media planning and public relations consulting company, (whose great-great-grandfather was Cuba’s fourth president) celebrated his birthday with a blowout at Villa Mayfair in Coconut Grove on April 21. Feted by 100 close friends, relatives and associates, de Valle’s private party in the main dining room of the new restaurant rocked the house until the wee hours with music by DJ Stephan, who spun hits from the Côte d’Azur. Guests dined on Chef Fredric Joulin’s gourmet menu, and enjoyed a parade of champagne, complete with sparklers, and a guest appearance by Pricilla.
