 Celebs including New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez, actress Minka Kelly, actor Ryan Phillippe, media mogul and former Bacardi employee of 15 years Emilio Estefan, Latin music icon Gloria Estefan, NBA Legends Alonzo Mourning and Glen Rice, R&B singer Trey Songz, GREY GOOSE Rising Icons Jake Troth and Kenny Burns, DJ Irie, Susanne Birbragher, Donald and Lisa Pliner, Roy and Lea Black, and sports personality and former Miami Dolphin Jimmy Cefalo, attended Bacardi’s 150 Year Anniversary celebration at the historic Bacardi Building in downtown Miami, on Saturday night. 

Later that night, Ryan Phillippe went to WALL to party with friend and D.C. nightclub owner Patrick Osuna.

 Tommy Davidson performed for over an hour at Ricochet on Monday night as part of Ricochet’s monthly comedy show series. One guest kept yelling out, “I love you!” towards the end of the show which led Davidson to jump off the stage and order a Bombay Sapphire Martini for the fan, in hopes of keeping her quiet for a little bit. Tommy and the crowd ended the night in stitches as he closed with his Sammy David Jr. impersonation. 

The cast and crew of Basketball Wives taped an upcoming episode at our favorite South of Fifth restaurant, Symcha’s 

Iggy Pop was seen dining at Villa Mayfair last week. 

Anna Kournikova and boyfriend Enrique Iglesias were spotted checking out Philippe Chow Miami’s new location on Ocean Drive.  The couple shared the hotspot’s signatures including dumplings, Satays, Lettuce Wraps, Peking Duck and for dessert: ice cream and pie.

Also at Philippe Chow Miami, Scotty and Larsa Pippen joined Lea Black, Kamal Hotchandani, Antonio Misuraca and a large group in the restaurant’s private wine room.

Chef Lorena Garcia

Utilísima, the only 24-hour, 100% original, Spanish-language lifestyle network, hosted a select few to the special launch of Chef Lorena Garcías new show, Lorena En Su Salsa. One of the countrys leading chefs, Lorena has participated on several reality shows including: Top Chef, The Biggest Loser, and Americas Next Great Restaurant. The Venezuelan power houses new series will be shot entirely in Miami in a custom built studio designed by Lorena herself and will spotlight the many rich cultures of the Magic Citys people. 

Manu Ginobili, from the San Antonio Spurs was in town to play the Miami Heat, and on Tuesday he visited db Bistro Moderne for lunch with his family and friends and ordered Duck Confit as his main course. While in town, he also visited the JW Marriott Marquis Miami’s 19th floor basketball arena (frequented by Miami Heat players as well) and the Jim McLean indoor golf school.

On Saturday afternoon, Robert Redford dined in Altamare’s private dining room.  He and his guests enjoyed a slew of seafood specialties, while sipping on Prosecco and Chardonnay. 

Carlos Moya has become a frequent visitor to Jeronimo’s Bar.  On several occasions last week, Moya was seen with his longtime girlfriend (with whom he has a daughter) Spanish actress Carolina Cerezuela and bar owner Jeronimo Hirschfeld.  

Jersey Shore’s Angelina Pivarnick was spotted at STK Miami Monday night, enjoying cocktails with three girlfriends at the bar. Onlookers say Pivarnick, who is currently in a legal battle over a Staten Island mall fight last November, was low key and did not interact with other guests. Separately in attendance at STK was San Antonio Spurs baller Tony Parker. Parker and seven other team mates – in town to play the Miami Heat Tuesday – enjoyed a magnum bottle of Moet Chandon champagne (the effects of which may or may not have been responsible for the Heat’s unprecedented comeback during the game). 

Across town at Chalk Ping Pong and Billiards Lounge over the weekend was Food Network star Dave Lieberman. Lieberman held court at a VIP table and enjoyed a few rounds of ping-pong, which is a little-known aphrodisiac, with a slew of female admirers. He was overheard discussing his work on a follow-up book to his recent best-seller Young and Hungry: Making the Most of Fresh and Affordable Food.  

Actress Gabrielle Union got her hands and feet all dolled up for her beau’s weekend activities at Midtown’s Nail Bar & Beauty Lounge last week. 

On Thursday night famed chef Philippe Chow and his wife were spotted dining at The Forge Restaurant | Wine Bar. They indulged in the signatures including the Lobster PB&J, Kale and Spaghetti and Snapper in a Bag, paired with glasses of wine.  

At another table, Yehuda Berg, author and co-director of the Kabbalah Center was onsite enjoying wine and small bites, while also signing copies of his book. 

On Saturday, socialite Sandra Levy dined at the Forge with Barry Gibb and a group of five, who spent some time at the Wine Bar to watch a little of the NFL playoff game then moved to their table where they enjoyed stone crab claws along with dinner and wine. 

Over the weekend, Front Management hosted a birthday bash for Christian Alexander at hotspot Vesper American Brasserie at Shelborne South Beach with a guest list of Miami’s VIPs including Bruce Weber, Romero Britto, Elsa Benitez, Ines Rivero, Anthony & Lina Shriver, Greg Lotus, Michael Stanley, Danny Santiago, Michelle Leshem, Sean Drake, Claudia Garces, Lance Parker, James Kirk, TJ Sabo, Luis Toro, John McSweeney and the many gorgeous models and staff of Front Management. and more.  The party took over the restaurant and bar, and guests noshed on the restaurant’s signature dishes.

rosie-odonnell-440 On Thursday night, following Wayne Boich’s stellar cocktail party at his three story Murano Grande penthouse, LIV hosted a slew of celebrities as TIESTO spun at his sold out event.  Notables included: Adrien Brody, Vanessa Hudgens, and Michael Bay.  

Miami’s Zuma was a hot bed for celebrity sightings. On Friday night, Rosie O’Donnell and her fiancée Michelle were spotted enjoying the Alaskan king crab and the Yuzu Keylime Pie. Real Housewife of Atlanta, Nene Leakes and Real Housewife of Miami, Marysol Patton were also seen enjoying their evening telling jokes the entire night – the two ate together at Prime 112 the night before. Shakira was also spotted on Friday, as well as 90210’s Jessica Lowndes. Star Jones and Vivica A. Fox dined together on Sunday night.

Rosci, host of 106 & Park and Terrell Owens hosted the “Hennessy Takeover” event at Cameo wherehip hop heavyweight Rick Ross, DJ Khaled, Mike Epps, Maybach Music Group artist Stalley and FloRida were all in attendance. The Boss, Rick Ross, counted down to 2012, while the crowd toasted with glasses of Hennessy.  After the toast, Ross performed his hits “Imma Boss” and “On One”.  That night, 2012’s most expensive VIP table, costing a whopping $100,000 was purchased by a British businessman who wishes to remain anonymous.  The table was hosted by The Boss and came complete with 50 bottles of Moet Rose.

More than 1,000 guests joined Univision’s El Gordo y La Flaca co-host Lili Estefan, gathered to ring in 2012 at the fourth-annual Vitamin C Communications’ New Year’s Forever event at the historic Bath Club.

Saturday night’s sold out New Year’s Eve event at Bâoli-Vita was a fabulous way to ring in 2012.  The evening, fueled with champagne poured by “Crazy Angels” dressed in white, had a special guest performance by R&B artist Nelly.

Up and Coming artist Jake Miller, Jason Derulo, NeYo & DJ Irie performed at the Orange Drive Miami Beach Music Festival.

AtThe Forge Restaurant | Wine Bar, Chris Tucker dined with Al and Nancy Malnik, Shareef Malnik, Gabrielle Anwar and friends in the private wine cellar on New Year’s Eve.

Nikki Beach Saint Barth rang in the New Year with a performance by Wyclef Jean. 

CeeLo Green dined at Philippe Chow Miami over the weekend. He came in just before closing at 1 a.m. and Chef Philippe Chow personally cooked for him and his guests; Christopher Brian Bridges, also known as, Ludacris, was dining nearby with a large group including Marco Andretti.

Philippe Chow Miami’s signature satays were a hit at SeanP. DiddyCombs’ house for his private soiree on New Year’s Eve. Rihanna was seen noshing on the tasty treats.

NeYo was at Nikki Beach Miami on Sunday, January 1, with his fiancée Tishawn along with a group of friends including “Cheetah Girl” Adrienne Bailon.

Our spy in L.A., fellow Miami Socialholic™ Maryanne Salvat, reports:  Maroone 5 front man Adam Levine was spotted with girlfriend, Victoria’s Secret Angel, Anne Vyalitsyna having lunch at Chateau Marmont.  Entourage’s Jerry Ferrara was seen at the JW Marriott LA, looking lean and fit after shedding 60 pounds.

Rachel Zoe, Penn Badgley and Zoe Kravitz were seen at the Soho Beach House on Friday.  Rachel Zoe relaxed in the Club Bar on the second floor while Badgley and Kravitz canoodled poolside.

Over the weekend, Young Jeezy stopped by Philippe Chow Miami just before closing time, causing Chef Philippe Chow to stay well after the restaurant closed to cook for him and his large group. Larry Johnson was also there, at a different table, with Sidney Rice. Alonzo Mourning and Patrick Ewing were also spotted at the bar having cocktails with Philippe Chow’s CEO Stratis Morfogen.

Just before Christmas, Brett Ratner dined at the Forge with a guest.  The following day, Mean Girls’ actor Jonathan Bennett in town to spend time with his family, was seen at the Forge enjoying signature dishes.

Late on Christmas night, after their loss to the Knicks, the Celtics landed in Miami and headed straight from the airport to Philippe Chow Miami where Chow cooked for the entire team (over 150 chicken satays, lobster with ginger and crispy beef) in the private wine cellar where Kevin Garnett, Jermaine O’Neill and the rest of the team watched the Golden State game until after closing.

Comedian, Gilbert Gottfried performed at Ricochet on Monday.

Scotty and Larsa Pippen attended TAI Entertainment’s Tuesday night party at the Shelborne along with a few hundred locals.

 We were thrilled to meet Chef Geoffrey Zakarian– winner of Iron Chef Super Chefs last Sunday, during brunch at his South Beach restaurant, the Tudor House, housed in the Dream HotelZakarian was welcoming and posed for photos with guests who enjoyed stellar menu items including:   truffle scrambled eggs, spaghetti and meatballs, stone crabs, a perfect frittata and selections from the dessert cart dubbed the “dessert dim sum cart.”  Every single bite was as delightful as the chef/owner himself.  Also in attendance for Sunday brunch (which is also served on Saturdays) were South Beach Wine and Food Festival founder, Lee Brian Schrager and famed DJs, Andrew and Andrew.

Also at the Dream Hotel, is Highbar, where nearly 1,000 people attended Playboy’s Soiree D’Art, which transitioned into Nur Khan’s pop-up lounge, Electric Room.  Notable guests in attendance included: supermodel May Andersen, designers Dean and Dan Caten, Dallas socialite Matt Nordgren, Mercedes Kilmer, Fabiola Beracasa and several well-known artists. 

Chef Aaron Sanchez of Food Network’s hit series, Chopped and Heat Seekers, dined at Sugarcane raw bar grill a few days ago. The young TV star chatted with executive chef Timon Balloo, who made Sanchez try his chicken neck dish. Sanchez said he had a great time and loved everything he tasted. Also at the Midtown hotspot Tuesday was artist Romero Britto who ate, drank and relaxed on the sidewalk café for a few hours. 

At Sushi Samba Dromo on Saturday, Alex Rodriguez stopped by for casual lunch. The baseball star, who was by himself, frequents the restaurant and is reportedly consistently friendly and polite to staff. 

Actress Jane Seymour, designers Juan Carlos Arcila-Duque, Vincenzo Avanzato, Lars Bolander, Tamzin Greenhill, Wade Allyn Hallock, Larry Laslo, Lynda Murray, Mario Nievera & Keith Williams, James Wall, and Deborah Wecselman joined ELLE Decor editor-in-chief Michael Boodro for the grand opening event of the ELLE Décor Showhouse at the Paramount Hotel on December 2. 

Also on December 2, Dean & Dan Caten, designers of DSQUARED², and Stephen Gan, Editor-In-Chief of VMAN magazine, hosted a private cocktail dinner at the Webster.  Attendees included: Cecilia Dean, Renzo Rosso, Naomi Campbell, Bruce Weber, Dwyane Wade, Gina Gerson, Lily Donaldson, Stella Schnabel, Eva Chow, Leigh Lezark, Greg Krelestein, Geordon Nichol, Derek Blasberg, Ladyfag, Laure Heriard Dubreuil, Lady Victoria Hervey, Maurizio Marcolin, Andres Velencoso, and, Miguel Iglesias.  Guests styled in DSQUARED2: Stella Schnabel, Lady Victoria Hervery, Ladyfag, Jilian Sanz, and Miguel Iglesias. 

The White Cube party at the Soho Beach House had its fair share of fabulous people on November 29. Guests included Damien Hirst, Angel Otero, Giovanna Battaglia, Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld, Alessandra Codinha, Antony Genn, Casey Fremont, Jeremy Kost, Vikram Chatwal, Jazzy de Lisser, and Harif Guzman.

Architect-turned-designer John Brevard recently unveiled his premiere jewelry collection and a sneak preview of the highly anticipated John Brevard 2012 Shoe Line, featuring the “Dripping Shoe” from the Morphogen series.  Guests in attendance included Victoria’s Secret and Christian Dior model Marta Lynchnuk, model Karina Gubanova, owner of BLO Blow Dry Bar Kailey Magder, Paola Rengifo of la Design Studio.
