Jones, James Rosenquist, and YoungArts alum attended the The YoungArts gala on Saturday night which began with a performance at the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts followed by dinner at the Alfred I. Co-stars of the new Twentieth Century Fox crime drama Broken City Mark Wahlberg & Natalie Martinez celebrated the release of their new film on South Beach alongside an excited crowd of over 300 fans.

ZoeActress Zoe Saldana, the Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, along with their significant others: Adrienne Bosh and Gabrielle Union and supermodel, Karolina Kurkova, rang in the New Year at The James Royal Palm. Prior to the NYE countdown, Saldana enjoyed a private dinner with family and friends at CATCH Miami, before counting down the New Year poolside at The James Royal Palm, where she danced along to the sounds of female DJ duo, Nervo, who played a high-energy set under the stars.  CATCH Miami’s Executive Chef / season three Top Chef winner, Hung Huynh created a specialty menu especially for the beautiful actress. After welcoming the New Year, Saldana partied at SL Miami, also at the James, where she toasted with EMM Group owners Eugene Remm and Mark Birnbaum,( http://www.markbirnbaumemmgroupinc.com) SL Miami partners Michael Malone and Marko Gojanovic and The James Royal Palm’s General Manager, Patrick Hatton.

Paula Abdul spent her “last meal of 2012” at South Beach hotspot, SUSHISAMBA dromo alongside a restaurant regular and his family.  The four enjoyed favorites off of the New Year’s Eve menu.

Wilmer Valderrama and Eva Longoria were both seen dining at SUSHISAMBA dromo before taking off to Bimini to host the “From Bimini with Love” Bond 007 themed New Year’s Eve event at Bimini Bay Resort.

It seems that Hakkasan restaurant in the Fontainebleau Miami Beach has been the place to feast your eyes and your palate over the past week.  Just this Tuesday night, swoon-worthy, Oscar winner George Clooney (yes, you read that correctly), along with longtime friend, nightlife impresario (and husband to Cindy Crawford) Rande Gerber spent time at Hakkasan promoting their new tequila, Casamigos. They were on one stop of a national tour, along with other partner Mike Meldman. Grammy award-winning Mexican singer, Luis Miguel, was spotted dining with friends at Hakkasan on Wednesday.  Also at Hakkasan on Saturday night, was supermodel Adriana Lima who noshed on the duck salad, dim sum platter, Chilean sea bass and prawns.

Luis Miguel was also seen dining at the Forge Restaurant I Wine Bar last week.

The Catalina Hotel & Beach Club, together with renowned Miami Beach party aficionado, Gerry Kelly, threw a STUDIO 54 New Years Eve celebration, hosted by Karina Smirnoff, from Dancing with the Stars.

Zuma was a celeb magnet over the weekend.  Vince Vaughn was spotted with his father and guests, after the Sunday Heat Game; Genesis Rodriguez, was seen drinking “Zuma” Daigingo; Victoria Silvstedt, dined with a large group and Calvin Klein enjoyed dinner with friends.

Spotted at RA Sushi in South Miami over the weekend was Buffalo Bills Defensive Tackle and former University of Alabama alum, Marcell Dareus, who was in town to support his Crimson Tide at the BCS title game.

Art Basel Miami 2012: Celebrity Take-over

The dinner party hosted by Daphne Guinness, Dom Pérignon and Roger Dubuis in celebration of Guinness’ collaboration with Swiss watchmaker Roger Dubuis called The Velvet Collection, which was Haute Living’s Basel Issue Cover story. Sixty guests gathered in the courtyard of the posh Villa Azur restaurant on December 5, at a table covered with violet roses to matched Guinness’ Haute Living cover shot taken by Nick Knight. Even Martha Stewart could resist snapping a few photos of the table. The elegant party was crawling with celebrities, VIPs and A listers as guests included Martha Stewart, Karolina Kurkova, Russell Simmons, Ray Allen, Lea Black, Marysol Patton, Stephen Dorff, IWC President Gianfranco D’Attis,street artist, Alec Monopoly, DJ Irie and, of course,Ms. Guinness herself. Dom Pérignon showed off a bottle with a glowing label by fellow creative soul, David Lynch. Earlier in the day, Diane von Furstenberg’s launched her limited edition Evian bottle at a lunch at Soho Beach House alongside guests Russell Simmons, Chelsea Handler and Andre Balazs.

On Thursday, December 6 – the official start of art Basel 2012 and Tony Goldman’s birthday – Goldman Properties CEO Jessica Goldman Srebnick hosted a dinner at Wynwood Walls with the artists of the Walls, almost all of them past and present, to pay tribute to Tony, who passed away on September 11, 2012. Celebrity Sightings: Gerard Butler, Madonna, Nadia G, and Kanye West

Gorgeous and hilarious celeb chef Nadia G (more Tony Soprano than Giada) of the Cooking Channel’s Bitchin’ Kitchen brought her irreverent attitude to Miami whipping up bold bites for select VIPs at the funky Awarehouse space in Wynwood for A Bitchin’ Evening with Nadia G and Apothic Wines.  While there, she showed fans how to make her chicken skewers with walnut pesto and a decadent apple crumble topped with candied bacon. She also served up chocolate mousse sprinkled with cayenne pepper and fleur de sel–a crowd favorite–paired with Apothic Red.  As she cooked, she regaled the crowd with comedic anecdotes about some of her famous tattoos and her take on men in skinny jeans.  After bringing the Bitchin’ Kitchen experience to the event, Nadia autographed copies of her cookbook, Cookin’ for Trouble. Michael Jordan dined at Villa Azur on Sunday night with his fiancé. He ordered his favorites and was so pleased with his meal he went into the kitchen to personally thank the chef. While in town for two nights of concerts last week, Madonna held a private after party for her back-up dancers, crew and close friends at FDR at the Delano on Wednesday night. Hunky Gerard Butler was at the Soho Beach House on Monday to promote his new movie, Playing for Keeps.  Actor, Tyler Ritter, lead singer of the All American Rejects dined at SUGARCANE raw bar and grill with an unidentified woman on Sunday November 25. Ritter enjoyed some of our SUGARCANE favorites including bacon-wrapped dates, sliders, goat cheese croquettes and skirt steak with his date. The couple arrived late and spent the rest of night fully engrossed in conversation. Kanye West was spotted at Wood Tavern on Sunday for Backyard Boogie.

H&M Celebrates Lincoln Road Miami Store - ArrivalsH&M, Hennes and Mauritz, one of the world’s largest fashion retailers known for offering high fashion at affordable prices, celebrated its debut in Miami Beach on Wednesday, November 7th, with an extravagant event featuring a live performance by Florida native, Flo Rida. Chace Crawford of Gossip Girl, Matthew Morrison of Glee, Paz de la Huerta of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, were among the 1,000 guests who attended the party held at the new 24,000 square foot multi-level store at the historic art deco Lincoln Theatre on Lincoln Road.

Flo-rida and six guests had dinner at STK Miami Thursday night.

SBE Founder, Chairman and CEO Sam Nazarian, along with SLS Hotel South Beach partners Philippe Starck, José Andrés and Lenny Kravitz, welcomed celebrities, media and more than 1,000 “elite influencers” to celebrate the grand opening of SLS Hotel South Beach on Thursday night. Famed daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, Rumer Willis and Capital Cities ended the night with private musical performances on a floating stage over the pool. Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Miami Lea Black, Ana Quincoces, Adriana De Moura, and Lisa Hochstein; Miami Dolphin Reggie Bush and girlfriend Lilit Avagya and VIPs including Roy Black, Jeremy Shockey, Jonathan Cheban, John Gidding, Dallas Austin, Donald and Lisa Pliner, Micky and Madeleine Arison, David and Angella Nazarian, Tracy Mourning, David Edelstein, Edgardo DeFortuna, Belkys Nerey, Lisa Petrillo, Jorge and Darlene Perez, Lauren Foster, Michael Gongora, Laura Buccellati, Nick D’Annunzio and Tara Solomon, and Gary and Dana Shear were on-hand for the official grand opening.

Earlier on Thursday evening, the Recent Cinema from Spain Film Series hosted a red-carpet opening night gala to kick off the four-day film series. Celebrities spotted at the celebration included: Unit 7, actor Antonio de la Torre; Winning Streak, actor Lluis Homar, and BRAVO’s Real Housewives of Miami stars, Marysol Patton and Ana Quincoces. Other notables in attendance included Miami’s General Consul of Spain Cristina Barrios, Nacho Cano, Nicolas Vallejo Nagera “Colate”, and Telenovela star Gabriel Valenzuela.

This past Sunday night Lil Wayne along with Fat Joe and Sean Kingston joined rapper French Montana for his birthday party at Bamboo Miami Beach.

Danell Leyva, who won the bronze medal at the London 2012 Summer Olympics for men’s gymnastics, was honored at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s gala on Saturday October 20, at the Four Seasons Hotel.  Leyva was granted the Hometown Hero Award. The gala was emceed by Lynn Martinez, co-anchor of WSVN’s Deco Drive and celebrity chef Ralph Pagano. 

Also on that Saturday, The Miami Heat’s Ray Allen dined with friends at Villa Azur, staying until closing time.  A source says he was discreet but very approachable. 

R. Kelly celebrated the after party for his concert at LIV on Sunday, October 21. Although he did not perform, he popped champagne bottles with friends and danced and embraced the cheerful crowd.  

Lauren Tannehill, the new spokesperson for Duffy’s Sports Grill, was spotted in West Palm Beach last weekend. She’s on schedule to film some upcoming commercials to promote some new, healthy menu items.
