The Billboard Latin Music Conference, which celebrated its 25th anniversary last week, returned to the JW Marriott Marquis Miami where an array of Latin mega stars were spotted during the three-day conference. Those in attendance included Spanish-American singer-songwriter Enrique Iglesias; rock artist Juanes; actor and top selling tropical salsa artist of all time Marc Anthony; Grammy Award winner Carlos Vives; Billboard Latin Music Award winner David Bisbal; Singer-songwriter Luis Fonsi; alternative-soul singer David Correy; Cuban American actor and award-winning singer-songwriting musician Jencarlos Canela; Italian pop singer-songwriter Laura Pausini; American-born Puerto Rican Grammy and Latin Grammy Award-winning Merengue singer Elvis Crespo; and Latin Grammy nominated Reggaeton duo from Puerto Rico Alexis y Fido. 

Last Thursday night, Hennessy V.S and Universal Music Latin Entertainment, hosted an exclusive “Fire & Ice” after party for the Billboard Latin Music Awards at Bamboo nightclub. The star-studded celebration was attended by Latin music masters, including superstar Enrique Iglesias, Colombian rocker Juanes, David Bisbal, Luis Fonsi, Kimberly Dor Ramos, Los Rakas, Play N Skillz, DJ Duo AtellaGali, Lennox from Zion Y Lennox, and many others. 

Grammy-award nominated Mexican pop singer Christian Castro was spotted dining at Villa Azur with his girlfriend, on Thursday, after his appearance at the Latin Billboard Awards. 

International superstar Sean Paul dined at SUGARCANE raw bar & grill late Thursday night. The rapper dined with friends and looked to be enjoying himself after his sizzling performance of “Baby Danger” at the awards show.   

Brit Week honoree and former heavyweight champion of the world, Lennox Lewis and actor Christian Slater and his wife Brittany Lopez Slater, attended Haute Living magazine’s annual Haute 100 event at the Pérez Art Museum Miami on Saturday night.

On Friday night Juanes was spotted at Seasalt and Pepper restaurant. He had dinner while the in-house DJ Pierre Zonzon played some of his music. Juanes emailed Zonzon the following day to thank him for the music and to compliment the gorgeous restaurant. On Saturday night, Gloria and Emilio Estefan also paid a visit to Seasalt and Pepper in the company of actor, Michael Caine. 

On Sunday night, Andrea Bocelli along with his new wife Veronica Berti and three sons visited Cavalli Restaurant and Lounge for dinner. Bocelli, a friend of Roberto Cavalli’s indulged in the truffle risotto.  Earlier in the day, Bocelli had treated parishioners at St. Patrick Church in Miami to a solo during the Easter Mass. A welcome surprise for all!  

Spotted at Zuma:   Will Smith, having dinner on the terrace and Juwan Howard, celebrating the first playoff victory for the Heat at a separate table.

On Thursday, April 10, over 300 guests gathered at W South Beach Hotel & Residences for the Miami Beach Gay Pride VIP Kick-Off Reception. Hosted by Bravo’s Real Housewives of Miami star Lea Black and drag diva Miss Elaine Lancaster, the chic soirée honored community leader Cindy Brown, original Miami Beach Gay Pride executive director. The evening included appearances by Grand Marshal Gloria Estefan, her husband Emilio Estefan, and the festival’s board of directors. 

Recently spotted at Zuma:  Will Smith, dining with friends on the terrace; a friendly Minnie Driver enjoying dinner and House of Cards star, Kevin Spacey, dining with Gloria and Emilio Estefan. 

Last week, Bongos Cuban Café celebrated Eddy “the Jet” Alvarez’s Silver Olympic Medal.  At the event, Emilio Estefan presented Eddy with a second medal.   

Lindsay Lohan was spotted at Seasalt and Pepper aboard a 60 foot yacht.

Academy-award winning actor, Michael Caine, dined at Café Prima Pasta at 8 p.m. on Monday. The jovial table of four noshed on signature dishes, washed down with a bottle of Antinori Brunello and a few glasses of chardonnay. Caine, who knows his way around the kitchen just as much as the movie set, owns seven restaurants including one in Miami. He enjoyed his meal at Prima so much that he intends to come back in on the weekend for an encore.  

Kevin Spacey headlined the Adrienne Arsht Center Gala, singing numerous songs to the delight of the audience. 

Greg Kinnear was in-town promoting his new movie,  Heaven is for Real.  

Spotted at Zuma:  Serbian Tennis Player, Novak Djokovic, Swiss Tennis Player Roger Federer, and Maria Sharapova during the week of the SONY Open.

Leonardo DiCaprio was seen having lunch at Cecconi’s at Soho Beach House on Saturday afternoon. 

After entering the Sony Open as a wild card in the women’s singles tournament, Miami resident and Tennis Pro Nadia Petrova  bowed out in the early stages of Sony Open Tennis and used the remaining tournament time to catch up on some brow maintenance of her own at Rik Rak Salon.  Petrova, the former world number three, beat Urszula Radwanska in the qualifiers and battled on to a second-round clash and lost to Sabine Lisicki. 

In South Florida filming the third season of Emeril’s Florida, celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse visited some of the area’s hottest restaurants. His stops included Meat Market on Lincoln Road where Emeril sat with Executive Chef Sean Brasel on Wednesday.  The crew traveled up to Fort Lauderdale on Thursday and wrapped the season’s filming at Casa D’Angelo with culinary maestro Angelo Elia.  After filming, Emeril and his team enjoyed their wrap dinner in the private wine dining room, where Chef Elia served up an abundance of authentic Tuscan dishes and wines from the award-winning 18,000 bottle wine collection. 

Among the line-up at the SiriusXM lounge during Miami Music Week this year:  Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Steve Aoki, Hardwell, Martin Garrix and Dyro.  The DJs spun in an intimate poolside setting for this three-day lounge that also had celebs in attendance such as Brian Grazer, Sky Blu from LMFAO, Nina Agdal, Reggie Bush and Mike Mackenzie, who sipped on cocktails provided by Smirnoff, Heineken and Vita Coco and received gifts by 808 Audio, House of Horology Watches and RAZON Sunglasses.  

John Leguizamo was recently spotted at SUGARCANE raw bar grill dining with a party of eight. 

Miley Cyrus dined at Cecconi’s last week, wearing a Balmain top while hanging out with her boys and was described as being “super nice.”  

Art, music and memories were made during a special visit to Alonso Mourning’s Overtown Youth Center by EDM star Martin Garrix and artist Alexander Mijares.  The afternoon of DJing and painting with the pros brought Miami Music Week to the Center’s students by teaching them the basics of music mixing and painting, and how music and art can work together in tandem.  Garrix and Mijares danced with the students to Garrix’s worldwide hit “Animals” and then made the surprise announcement that each student would leave with Limited Edition Beats by Dre headphones.  In addition, Mijares created an original piece for the event titled “Animals” after Garrix’s biggest hit with proceeds going to the Overtown Youth Center. 

Karla McKinley celebrated her birthday at Zuma with daughter, jewelry designer Madison McKinley, who is presently at Parson’s in New York City, tennis star John Isner and other friends.  Karla flew in from Dallas for the Sony Open and some Miami sunshine.
