On Tuesday, June 10, more than 40 of the world’s greatest chefs will convene in Philadelphia for the ninth annual Great Chefs Event, hosted by James Beard award winner Marc Vetri, restaurateur Jeff Benjamin, and James Beard award winner Jeff Michaud. The event will benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and The Vetri Foundation for Children. More than 1,200 guests will gather at Urban Outfitters World Headquarters on Philadelphia’s waterfront Navy Yard for the foodie charity event of the year, with an exclusive VIP after party at Alla Spina for sponsors and VIP ticketholders with special guest DJ, Questlove.

Chef Vetri has hand-selected the A-list of participating chefs, calling on his renowned chef friends from around the world, including top talent from L.A., Miami, New York City, and Chicago as well as those that have been kind enough to fly in from Italy. The chefs will donate their time, talent, and food, creating delicious samplings for guests in the walk-around tasting gala of the year. In addition to fine food, representatives from the best distilleries, wineries, craft breweries, will also be present.

Shake Shack Philadelphia Collaboration with Chef Marc Vetri

Shake Shack’s Culinary Director Mark Rosati and Philly’s own chef Marc Vetri have joined forces for the greater good with a great burger.  From June 6 through June 15, Philly Shack patrons,  University City, Center City, and King of Prussia, can enjoy the Carbonara Burger a 100% all-natural Pat LaFrieda Angus beef patty topped with crispy bacon, pecorino cheese, a sunny-side-up egg, and black pepper ($6.75).  A $1 contribution from every Carbonara Burger sold will go to The Vetri Foundation to help further its mission to help children experience healthy living and eating. So go get your Shake Shack  on and eat a Carbonara Burger for the greater good!

Cher performed to a sold-out crowd on Saturday night at the BB&T center.  According to a fan, the diva “may or may not have suffered a mini-stroke during ‘If I could turn back time’- it was hard to tell.”

Rapper, Flo Rida performed at LIV at the Fontainebleau as part of the BleauLive series on Friday night. Flo jumped into the audience and also invited fans on-stage with him.  

David Beckham and Simon Fuller, both dined at Seasalt & Pepper last week. Eva Longoria also dined at the Miami River eatery with a crew of ten, including her boyfriend.

Jamie Foxx partied at Hyde AA Arena to watch the Heat vs. Brooklyn Nets match-up.  Seen dining at Zuma: actor, Hank Azaria, Will Smith and Jessica Lowndes on separate occasions. On Tuesday night at Wall Nighclub at the W Hotel South Beach, Jamie Foxx and Simon Rex were spotted ogling contestants of a wet t-shirt party at the club.  

Miami’s own Gloria and Emilio Estefan recently attended the 100th White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and a Vanity Fair party which took place after the dinner.  

World renowned Miami designers, Rob Brown and Todd Davis, who count The Clintons among their stellar list of clients, recently hosted a design luncheon with The Lincoln Motor Company at Long View Gallery in Washington D.C.  Brown, Davis and Lincoln MKC designers, Dillon Blanski and Antonio Molinari discussed the similarities in the creative processes of auto design and interior home design.  All four experts talked about designing for a younger luxury consumer and how often, the result is progressive, classic design with a modern twist.

The Billboard Latin Music Conference, which celebrated its 25th anniversary last week, returned to the JW Marriott Marquis Miami where an array of Latin mega stars were spotted during the three-day conference. Those in attendance included Spanish-American singer-songwriter Enrique Iglesias; rock artist Juanes; actor and top selling tropical salsa artist of all time Marc Anthony; Grammy Award winner Carlos Vives; Billboard Latin Music Award winner David Bisbal; Singer-songwriter Luis Fonsi; alternative-soul singer David Correy; Cuban American actor and award-winning singer-songwriting musician Jencarlos Canela; Italian pop singer-songwriter Laura Pausini; American-born Puerto Rican Grammy and Latin Grammy Award-winning Merengue singer Elvis Crespo; and Latin Grammy nominated Reggaeton duo from Puerto Rico Alexis y Fido. 

Last Thursday night, Hennessy V.S and Universal Music Latin Entertainment, hosted an exclusive “Fire & Ice” after party for the Billboard Latin Music Awards at Bamboo nightclub. The star-studded celebration was attended by Latin music masters, including superstar Enrique Iglesias, Colombian rocker Juanes, David Bisbal, Luis Fonsi, Kimberly Dor Ramos, Los Rakas, Play N Skillz, DJ Duo AtellaGali, Lennox from Zion Y Lennox, and many others. 

Grammy-award nominated Mexican pop singer Christian Castro was spotted dining at Villa Azur with his girlfriend, on Thursday, after his appearance at the Latin Billboard Awards. 

International superstar Sean Paul dined at SUGARCANE raw bar & grill late Thursday night. The rapper dined with friends and looked to be enjoying himself after his sizzling performance of “Baby Danger” at the awards show.   

Brit Week honoree and former heavyweight champion of the world, Lennox Lewis and actor Christian Slater and his wife Brittany Lopez Slater, attended Haute Living magazine’s annual Haute 100 event at the Pérez Art Museum Miami on Saturday night.
