Director, producer and Academy Award winner Sofia Coppola was spotted dining at Restaurant Michael Schwartz at The Raleigh Hotel on Sunday, February 16th. She along with Phoenix guitarist, Christian Mazzalai and another friend were seen enjoying dinner and a few drinks while their children munched on penne pasta. The group mingled and enjoyed each other’s company for about two hours before heading out. 

On Saturday night, Paul Wesley of the Vampire Diaries dined at Meat Market (touted by Conde Nast Traveler as one of Miami’s “Buzziest Restaurants) with former costar Phoebe Tonkin. 

TODAY show host Jill Martin  celebrated Valentine’s day with her beau at Seasalt and Pepper Restaurant . Sources say they sat at a romantic table by the water and were seen “canoodling and looking very much in love.” 

Also spotted on Sunday at Seasalt was breakaway RHOA star, Nene Leakes . She was seen with current RHOM star Alexia Echevarria and friend of the RHOM Marysol Patton.

Saturday night, Market America | SHOP.COM hosted a star-studded after party in honor of their World Conference and in celebration of the launch of Joseph “Fat Joe’ Cartagena’s Market America UnFranchise Business at the home of Market America Founders JR and Loren Ridinger in Miami Beach.  Celebrities in attendance included Jennifer Lopez, Jamie Foxx, Diddy, French Montana, Maxwell, Timbaland, Daymond John, Cliff Floyd, and Ramona Rizzo.

Last Tuesday, Ben Swartz (from House of Lies), Jaime Foxx and Michael Bay were spotted at WALL at W South Beach.

Prince Pierre d’Arenberg and his wife, Princess Sylvie d’Arenberg of the Netherlands dined at Lippi on February 5. The royals enjoyed a quiet and intimate evening and shared light bites.

Jerry Seinfeld had a sold-out crowd in stitches during his back-to-back shows last Friday and Saturday nights at the Hollywood Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Hard Rock Live concert venue.  Seinfeld covered the gamut with his “show about nothing” including, marriage, fatherhood, and how life in general “sucks.” “Everybody’s life sucks. Your life sucks, my life sucks…perhaps significantly less than yours.” He even joked about the car fire just outside of the Hard Rock which caused a delay in the show. 

At Zuma, Pharrell Williams was spotted at brunch, wearing his now infamous Grammy hat (think Smoky Bear). Venus Williams was also at Zuma with friends at dinner.  

At Scarpetta on Monday night, David Beckham dined with Simon Fuller.   

On Tuesday night, Simon Fuller and David Beckham held a private event at the Arsht Center to announce information about the MLS soccer team and their official commitment to Miami under Beckham’s part ownership.  Celebrities in attendance included Tracy and Alonso Mourning, artist Carlos Betancourt and Pepe Carmona, of Tuna Productions.  Beckham gave a very informal speech to the exclusive crowd of about 75, discussing his excitement in bringing an MLS team to Miami.  

Recently St. Louis Cardinals, Jon Jay, hosted a celebrity bowling tournament for the Boys & Girls Club of Miami-Dade and raised more than $42,000 for the nonprofit that holds special place in his heart.

At Wall, Jamie Foxx, director Michael Bay, and House of Lies and Community actor Ben Schwartz were spotted having a good time dancing and drinking. Jamie especially made a mark as he was reported as being very friendly as he talked to the door staff and took photographs with fans and beautiful ladies.

Actor Carlos Ponce and girlfriend, actress Ximena Duque dined at Seasalt & Pepper on Friday night.  They sampled Octopus Plancha and Chef Alfredo’s Special Branzino al Forno. 

John Malkovich and long-term partner Nicoletta Peyran were spotted at Restaurant Michael Schwartz at The Raleigh Hotel. The couple shared several cocktails, dinner and the bread pudding for dessert. John was happy to hello to a few fans. He and Nicoletta ended at The Martini Bar where they continued their night and were overheard saying how much they love how intimate and quaint it was. 

Original Super-Model Kim Alexis made a brief stop through Miami last week to visit friends and to be photographed by Miami based artist Carlos Betancourt for his latest project.  Betancourt called on his long-time friend Brandi Reddick not only for her artful sense of fashion and style, but for her personal wardrobe!  Reddick dressed the 80s cover girl and super star from head to toe in magnificent pieces of clothing and costume jewelry from her personal collection. Much to Reddick’s surprise, her intern Elliot Leiva informed her that she had 326 pair of shoes in her closet.  Reddick’s reply, “I never keep count!” 

After being defeated by the Miami Heat, Manu Ginobili and Boris Diaw of the San Antonio Spurs headed to Bâoli to reward themselves for a game well played.  The two Spurs were personable and enjoyed chatting with other Bâoli patrons about the game.

Director Michael Bay was spotted at Bâoli on Saturday calmly sipping a Heineken. Our source suspects he might have still been “recovering from his CES Convention meltdown and gearing up for Saturday’s Black Sails premiere. He was strictly on a liquid diet and declined a table, making sure he stayed close to the bar.”   

Not quite a Floridian yet, Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto dined at Lippi on Monday night, wearing a baseball cap, sneakers and shorts, despite the brisk weather.  Morimoto and three guests shared a variety of dishes – seven to be exact-  including Truffled Scrambled Eggs, Hawaiian Almaco Jack Tartar and a Wild Mushroom Risotto.  The meal was accompanied by a selection of different wines, beers, spirits and of course, coffee.  Rumor has it he was dining with what seemed to be business partners for his new location set to open in the  Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach.

Adrian Grenier, Jerry Ferrara, Kevin Dillon and Kevin Connolly, in town for the filming of the Entourage movie, celebrated with a wrap party at yet-to-be-opened downtown mega-club E11even. 

Recently, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, JayZ, Timberland and Beyonce, were seen with friends entering Zuma through a private entrance to celebrate the birthday of Rowland’s new fiancé Tim Witherspoon. 

James Beard award-winning chef Michelle Bernstein of Bravo’s Top Chef and owner of award-winning restaurant Michy’s and Crumb on Parchment has joined leading ethnic housewares brand, IMUSA, as a chef ambassador for 2014. Bernstein is a part of IMUSA’s official 2014 Global Chef Panel, along with other celebrity chefs:  Aaron Sanchez and George Duran.

Jay Z and Beyonce stopped by for a late, secluded dinner on the terrace at Zuma.

Drake and an entourage of 18 enjoyed dinner on the terrace on a different night and  enjoyed late night drinks at the bar.  Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise were also spotted at Zuma having an early dinner in the lounge. 

Dwyane Wade celebrated his birthday with his team mates and fiancé, Gabrielle Union, on Saturday night, aboard the yacht, Biscayne Lady, which was seen sailing throughout Biscayne Bay with the words “Way of Wade” projected on it. 

On the same night, Billy Joel performed at the BB&T Center. 

Rita Moreno stayed at downtown Miami’s Hotel Beaux Arts over the weekend.
