One of the most fun events of the summer actually took place during the day on  Saturday, June 30th, at luxury dealership, The Collection, which, together with Ocean Drive magazine, and its brand ambassador NBA Champion Dwyane Wade, revealed the all-new, highly-awaited 2013 Porsche Boxster at an MVP brunch event held on-site at the dealer’s Porsche showroom.

The Collection was party central- with great dance music, performances by La Vida Con Fuego, a fashion presentation by Neiman Marcus Coral Gables, free flowing Moet Imperial Ice and Belvedere vodka and delicious offerings from Zuma, City Hall, Yardbird, Swine and the Biltmore–all at 11 a.m. In fact, we had to keep looking out the window to be sure it was still daytime!

Fans cheered when Wade arrived and took the stage along with girlfriend, actress Gabrielle Union and Alonzo and Tracy Mourning to thank the crowd for its support of the Miami Heat and laud the Boxster before introducing Ken Gorin, President and CEO of The Collection.  Gorin addressed the guests, stating:  “We are beyond excited to have celebrated the arrival of the all new Porsche Boxster with our customers.  It’s the perfect combination of sporty and sexy – in essence, the perfect car for Miami.  This car must be seen and driven to be believed!” The party continued long after the speeches, as Wade graciously signed autographs for fans.  After some time in the upstairs VIP area, Wade and Union had some fun in the photo booth-which had been a big hit throughout the event.

Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine

iHeartRadio, Clear Channel’s industry-leading digital radio service, and the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hosted a two-day musical weekend from June 29-30 as part of the BleauLive concert series. Music fans gathered to enjoy a weekend of pool parties and concerts that began with a welcome party on Friday night followed by a day time pool party on Saturday featuring an exclusive set by electro-pop DJ Calvin Harris.

The highlight of the weekend was Saturday night’s concert- atop an elevated 30-foot stage, featuring performances by Maroon 5, Flo Rida and Gym Class Heroes with a special guest appearance by Enrique Iglesias.  Over 3,000 fans gathered on a platform and around the pool to sing and dance along to hits such as Gym Class Heroes’ “Stereo Hearts,” Flo Rida’s “Wild Ones,” and Maroon 5’s “Pay Phone.”  The crowd went wild when Gym Class Heroes’ Travis McCoy introduced Adam Levine to perform their hit single “Stereo Hearts.” Maroon 5 thrilled the crowd with fan favorites such as “This Love,” “Sunday Morning” and “One More Night” from the new album Overexposed. Flo Rida closed the show with a one-of-a-kind performance of “Wild Ones” where he encouraged fans to jump into the pool and joined them for a quick dip before he was ushered back to stage on a shoulder ride.

Cosmo’s Fab @ 40 Beach Bash

Also on Saturday, June 30, Cosmopolitan en Español, the leading Spanish-language fashion and beauty magazine for the fun, fearless Hispanic female, celebrated its 40th anniversary with its Fab @ 40 Smirnoff Beach Bash, presented along with sponsors Smirnoff Ice and Splat. More than 200 guests attended the summer “after-beach” party, which featured an exciting variety of summer-inspired entertainment, exclusive VIP gift bags and models showcasing L*SPACE swimwear. Guests were invited to experiment with flirty new looks at the Splat station, featuring color hair extensions and washables, and Blo Midtown’s pop-up braid bar. Birthday treats were provided by Mighty Fine Cakes, and Sweet & Tipsy, creator of the “Cosmo cuptails.”

Jenine and Juwan Howard

FDR at the Delano was the place to be on Friday night, for Rémy Martin V’s, “Kiss the Bottle” party– Remy’s latest charity endeavor benefitting the VH1 Save The Music Foundation.  The intimate party was hosted by Juwan Howard and his wife, Jenine, who were celebrating their 10 year wedding anniversary, and of course, continuing to celebrate the Heat’s championship win. Juwan and his guests celebrated with Rémy Martin V and tonic cocktails as DJ Irie gave a shout out to the couple for their devotion to each other and for helping to support the VH1 Save The Music Foundation.

At the event, celebrity guests including Juwan and Jenine Howard, Mark Strickland, Alonzo and Tracy Mourning, Amaris Jones, and DJ Irie placed a kiss and their signatures on a bottle of Rémy Martin V. Each “kiss” and signature on the bottle, Rémy Martin V will contribute to a 10 year music education program.
