Fish Fish Restaurant Bar & Seafood Market Opens in Miami
Miami’s newest neighborhood fish restaurant, Fish Fish Restaurant Bar & Seafood Market, is the creation of owners Melvyn and Rebecca Franks. The experience starts as guests enter into an enchanting nautical backdrop featuring an attention grabbing retail Seafood Market showcasing fresh fish reverently displayed on ice. Here, seafood can be purchased, to take home or prepared for dine-in with the adventurous types having an option to engage in a “you-pick-it, we-make-it” menu selection created by Melvyn Franks.Seafood selections are based on availability, but frequently showcase silvery hogfish, yellowtail snapper, gray-blue branzini, and organic Scottish salmon. At times, you may find the zebra-striped lionfish, which are the controversial reef-dwelling invasive species that is threatening our coastal biodiversity. Part of the restaurant’s uniqueness highlights the ocean’s “best-in-show” products that are regularly flown in fresh. These may include Maine lobsters, Canadian oysters and English Dover sole. The guest’s experience may begin with the opportunity to create a build-it-yourself platter highlighting choices of cold water oysters, clams and peel-and-eat shrimp. Pick your own live seasonal lobsters, which are available at market price and range from two to nine pounds.
