2016 has had its fair share of highs and lows. One thing we can all agree on is that it’s time to bid adieu to the old and herald in the new with the over-the-top enthusiasm for which Miami is well known. While many locals opt to stay in, as every night in Miami is a “New Year’s Eve of sorts” with an abundance of decadent parties to attend- lots of us insist on celebrating the end of one year and the beginning of another surrounded by revelers, confetti and champagne. An Extravagant Bash at Five Star New Year’s Eve
Welcome 2017 in style with Miami’s most luxurious celebration – Five Star New Year’s Eve! Featuring private yacht rides by YatchLife, the all-white-and-gold themed party is located in a private island inside a palatial glass venue, featuring endless food and libations all night long, outdoor amenities and a dock for guests wishing to bring their own boats. Guests can avoid traffic and Uber surges with YatchLife rides, with seats priced at $150 for one-way trip and $300 for round trip.
Guests who purchase tickets to Five Star New Year’s Eve will begin celebrations early with a week-long lineup of VIP events in Miami Beach starting on Sunday, December 25 through December 31. Any ticket purchase will grant guests access to the Sunset Party, Luxury Yacht Cruise, Surreal Party, Rooftop Pool Party, Miami Beach VIP Club Experience, all leading up to Five Star New Year’s Eve.
This sought after event has been attended and hosted in the past by actor Ryan Phillippe, DJ Robin Schulz, Brazilian singer Michel Telo, soccer star Ronaldo “The Phenomenon” Nazario de Lima and renowned Brazilian actress Isabeli Fontana, to name a very few.
Enchanting New Year’s Eve at Villa Azur
Fairy tale creatures will welcome guests at Villa Azur’s Enchanted Villa-themed celebration, which will feature two seated dinner options, live entertainment and bubbly.
The first seating from 7pm to 9:30pm offers a 3-course meal with options including Lobster Tart, Mediterranean Sea Bass with Winter Black Truffle, A5 Kobe Beef Wellington, and Grand Cru Chocolate & Tayberry Jam, to name a very few, and a glass of champagne for $250 per person. A second seating at 9:45 PM offers a 4-course menu with some holiday dishes including Homemade Foie Gras “Mi Cuit”, Langostino Carpaccio on Crispy Shell, A5 Kobe Beef Wellington, and Financier Cocoa Caraibe Chocolat, paired with Dom Perignon Rose, starting at $500 per person. Children will be accommodated with a $99 menu.
Brasserie Azur
At Brasserie Azur, guests will enjoy a dazzling celebration featuring a 4-course $75++ pre-fixe menu with offerings of Smoked Salmon Taco, Shrimp Lobster Salad, Veal Loin Chops and pastries from The Pastry Corner, accompanied with live music and a 2016 countdown. Children will be accommodated with a $35++ menu.
Brasserie Azur opens for brunch at 11am on New Year’s Day serving signature dishes and magicians will be on hand to help the hangover disappear!
Riverside Glamour at Seaspice
Seaspice will feature exquisite New Year’s Eve offerings all day and night including Kaluga Caviar and Kusshi Oysters, Beef Wellington, Black Truffle Florida Lobster, and Seaspice Mignardise. The Saturday Night Fever themed bash will feature live music performance by Grammy Award-winner Motiff and Friends and dance shows. Stay and enjoy live entertainment as you count down to 2017!
A Parisian Fete at Paris 6
Paris 6 offers a 24 hour Parisian style celebration with a four-course pre-fixe dinner offering grandiose options of Canapes de Steak Tartare, Salade de Jambon et Figues, Tournedos Rossini, Poulpes Sautees au Fettuccine, Gateau Rosé and Oreo Grand Gateau, to name a very few, as guests enjoy live music into the new year!
A Family Affair at El Churrasco
El Churrasco features a five-course $180 pre-fixe menu paired with signature wines and a bottle of champagne for tables of four. Guests can expect live shows, live music and other surprises all night long, leading up to a display of fireworks overlooking the Biscayne Bay and Miami skyline as they ring in the New Year.
Copa Room, WALL and WET
Copa Room, South Beach’s first all-inclusive nightclub, opens its doors for the first time on the most anticipated weekend of the year. Aerialists, acrobats and Las Vegas-style shows will entertain as guests from all walks of life enjoy premium open bar all night long with surprise confetti and balloon drops at intervals throughout the night. WET Pool at W South Beach will feature world-renowned German DJ Robin Schulz as the headliner of the unforgettable start of a new year! Featuring top of the line visuals and entertainment, on Saturday, December 31st at 9pm, Robin Schulz will electrify celebrating attendees with his #1 hits including “Sugar” and “Show Me Love”. Details of the evening include premium open bar from 9pm to midnight with VIP table service packages inclusive of top shelf spirits ranging from $1k – $12k.

A Fish Called Avalon
An Ocean Drive legend and one of South Beach’s longest standing restaurants is serving up superb cuisine, a dynamic buzzy setting and impeccable service with a five-course New Year’s Eve menus for adults and three-course special for kids. At A Fish Called Avalon, Guests can indulge in a welcome delight of caviar pie, smoked salmon flatbread and succulent grilled octopus, followed by their signature “Pear-fect Salad” of crispy goat cheese and pear salad. For dinner a choice of either Chilean sea bass, 21-day dry-aged Black Angus filet or a baked whole Maine lobster topped with a champagne sauce (for an additional $30). The final touch includes a bottle of Duval Leroy champagne and caramelized apple and almond rum cake a la mode. The outdoor tables are perfect for a front row view of the oceanfront fireworks show while enjoying sea breezes and live music. Kids ages 3-12 choose from shrimp cocktail or mixed greens and apple salad for an appetizer, grilled chicken with pasta or 5 oz. filet mignon with mashed potatoes for an entrée and a choice of ice cream or Chef Kai’s signature vanilla cheesecake for dessert. Zuma Miami
To ring in 2017, Zuma Miami brings you the golden age of japan – the edo era — remembered as a time of peace, growth and enjoyment of culture. The celebratory menu will include Signature Zuma dishes with festive additions perfect for sharing with friends and family. Prepared by the culinary team to tantalize the senses, the 2017 New Year’s Eve tasting menu will embrace decadent and seasonal ingredients, from freshly shaved white truffle, o-toro tuna and robata grilled wagyu. Guests will enjoy specially created dishes such as beef tartar with black truffle and caviar, squid ink seafood hotpot and lobster tempura in addition to beautiful sushi & sashimi platters and specialty maki rolls all accompanied by Krug champagne and Nanbubijin Daiginjo sake. Entertainment throughout the evening will be driven by the sounds a live DJ accompanied by a visual showcase of Japanese culture. The Dutch at W South Beach
Andrew Carmellini’s South Beach outpost of the American restaurant, bar and oyster room is offering two special seatings and a five-course prix fixe dinner to ring in the New Year. The Dutch menu includes “snacks” like Sturgeon Caviar and a Butternut Squash Tart followed by an appetizer choice of either Foie Gras and Duck Terrin or Florida Stone Crab Claws. A mid-course Robiola Tortellini with Alba white truffle will be served to all guests followed by a choice of John Dory with lobster curry, spot prawns and coriander flowers or Manhattan Steak with red wine short rib. For dessert, it’s either the Strawberry Vacherin or an the indulgent Manjari Chocolate Crema. The early seating begins at 6:30 p.m. and includes a half bottle of Veuve Cliquot at $185 per person, while the second seating starts at 8:30 p.m. and includes a half bottle of Dom Perignon at $300 per person. In addition, access to W South Beach New Year’s Eve pool party, with special guest Robin Schulz, is also available at special pricing ($150 [reg. $200]) with a confirmed dinner reservation.
Mexican Fiesta- Cantina la Veinte
Cantina La Veinte celebrates New Year’s Eve with a $250 pre-fixe menu, which includes table and bottle service. Guests will celebrate with live music and performances all night long as they watch the last minutes of 2016 count down on the big screens and the ball drop. Guests can recover the next day with signature bites as the restaurant resumes regular business hours.
Asian Soiree at DÔA
Centrally located on South Beach, DÔA allows guests two seating choices to fit into their pre- or post- New Year’s Eve celebration plans. Celebrants are welcome to choose between two seatings offering unique options of a four course pre-fixe New Year’s Eve menu. After midnight, guests at DÔA can continue their celebration with live entertainment and bottle service until 5am. Party Hack: Order the highly acclaimed Pork Belly Buns.
Head EAST
When in doubt, go EAST – to Brickell hotspot and flagship Hotel, EAST, Miami that is. Start the night with dinner at Quinto La Huella, the first-ever outpost of the award-winning beachfront concept Parador La Huella. First seating begins at 6 – 9 PM. Enjoy a three-course pre fixe dinner and champagne. While second seating features a four course dinner priced at $200 and begins at 9:30 PM.
