On Friday night, comedian Kevin Hart hosted a party at Club Play, alongside up-and- coming rapper Kendrick Lamar. NBA Superstar Dwyane Wade, close friend of Hart, joined actor Morris Chestnut and former Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams along with fellow athletes, comedians, and rappers for the night.

Chalk Ping Pong and Billiards Lounge managing partners Joseph Blount and Sayra Moto, along with local tastemakers, Nick D’Annunzio, Tara Solomon, Jose Ortiz, Sean Drake and Michelle Leshem attended Sir Elton John’s “An Enduring Vision” gala last Wednesday, at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. Blount, a major philanthropist, along with his latest venture Chalk, were official co-sponsors of the event, which supports the Elton John Aids Foundation.

Last Tuesday night, singer Josh Groban was seen dining at Mondrian South Beach’s Asia de Cuba. After nibbling on Lobster Pot Stickers and Calamari Salad, Groban checked out Mondrian’s inventive vending machine, Semi Automatic, which sells everything from toothbrushes to cars.

Dolly Parton wowed the audience during her concert at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino last week.  She played the banjo and the auto harp, among various other instruments and covered songs from the Beetles, Led Zeppelin, and Tina Turner, in addition to her classic hits and other country favorites.

Designer extraordinaire Nicole Miller made an appearance and hosted a lunch in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Saks Dadeland on Thursday afternoon

.  The pretty and charming designer mingled with guests and gave Saks customers style tips and fashion advice.

Actress/singer Ashley Tisdale and a small entourage enjoyed a late dinner at Sugarcane raw bar grill in Midtown Saturday night. The Disney star, with beau-in-tow and a few other friends/family, remained low-key throughout the evening.

The Forge Restaurant | Wine Bar was a good spot for celeb sightings throughout the weekend.  On Friday night, Alex Rodriguez brought in a group of five, including close friend Ingrid Casares, who dined in the main room before heading out to WALL lounge.  On Saturday night, Jacob the Jeweler and family dined at the Forge.  At their request they were seated in the rear of the library so they could enjoy a more intimate evening.  At a separate table, Luis Miguel held court with two ladies, beginning with cocktails at the bar before heading to the Wine Cellar to dine.  His personal bodyguard was only feet away from him all evening and the trio closed the restaurant down.

Music producer Pharell Williams was spotted having lunch on Monday afternoon at one of his favorite restaurants in town- City Hall the Restaurant, with a female companion.

Models, designers, fans and friends came out to Books and Book last Thursday in South Beach to celebrate with bestselling author Mike Sincere during the book signing of his new book, The Last Au Pair.   As you might have guessed from the title, the book tells the story of an Au Pair who moves to South Beach only to discover life here isn’t as glamorous as she thought.

Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra attended Pilates in the Grove’s Pink Ribbon Launch event last week benefitting the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation.  Other attendees included Jason Rosenhaus of Sports Rosenhaus Representation, who happens to be Drew Rosenhaus’ brother on whom the character, Jerry Maguire, was based.

In town for the Miami leg of his first comedy tour in three years, Chris Tucker visited The Forge Restaurant | Wine Bar with three others in tow.  The funny man, who hosted his Rush Hour 3 movie release event at The Forge a few years ago, returned to see the newly renovated space and to try one of the restaurant’s lobster and peanut butter sandwiches, a few other dishes and a little wine.  Guests were stopping by Tucker’s table to pose for photos with the friendly, fast-talking actor, who is set to film a new movie, The Playbook opposite Bradley Cooper.

Actor Leland Orser who is in town filming Starz Network’s new Magic City series dined at Zuma last Sunday evening.

Joseph “Fat Joe” Antonio Cartagena was at The Forge  with a party of five.

Underground rapper Big Krit performed a live concert at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale followed by a wind-down session at his after party at Club Play.

Kevin Durant took some time off from his summer playground basketball tour to celebrate his birthday at Club Play. The event was attended by most of his Oklahoma City Thunder teammates including James Harden, Eric Maynor, Serge Ibaka, and former Miami Heat player Daequan Cook. NBA veterans Antoine Walker, Nazr Mohammed and James Posey were also in the house.

Victoria’s Secret supermodel Adriana Lima was seen having lunch with basketball star husband Marko Jaric at Makoto in Bal Harbour Shops.

Christian Slater made it a taco night as he went to the popular Rocco’s Taco’s in Fort Lauderdale.

In town for his comedy show, Chris Tucker bounced around South Beach and was seen lounging poolside at Mondrian South Beach with a few friends before his performance. Following his show, Tucker was spotted at celebrity magnet, Prime 112 where he and his group enjoyed a nice steak dinner.

Famed music producer Timbaland dined at Asia de Cuba at Mondrian South Beach with a group of friends. Stopping in for a late-night snack, the group indulged in a few drinks and some delicious food before calling it a night.

While the Dolphins are far from having a winning season, celebs still seem to flock to their games. Spotted at the Patriots game, on September 12 were:  Marc Anthony, Fergie, Josh Duhamel, Taylor Lautner, Hank Williams, Jr., Will Smith, Dwyane Wade, Alonzo Mourning, Dennis Rodman, Pitbull, Dan Marino, Sean Kingston, Rick Ross and William Levy.  

Emilio Estefan, Luis Fonsi, Pharrell Williams and William Levy were in the house at the Houston game on September 18.

“Top Model” Tyra Banks was seen about town promoting her new book, Modelland.  The graceful beauty checked into the Mondrian South Beach and was seen having lunch at the popular Asia de Cuba. 

Internationally acclaimed artist Galeet Dardashti performed at the world premiere of Monajat at Next@19^th on Saturday, September 3.  A full house welcomed the Iranian composer and singer as she combined Persian melodies with electronic elements, accompanied by dynamic video projections designed by Dmitry Kmelnitsky.

Basketball super hero turned Hanes undies spokesman Michael Jordan dined with friends at Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar in West Palm Beach over the weekend. Jordan chatted with excited fans while enjoying Rocco’s authentic Mexican cuisine.

Transformers’ director Michael Bay and football star Reggie Bush were spotted at LIV over the weekend, enjoying DJ sets by internationally renowned DJ Avicii over the weekend. 

Mega TV’s Maria Elvira Salazar was spotted at Cleber Lopez Salon in Coral Gables.
