The Miami Design District Welcomes Back The Miami Symphony Orchestra

Posted by Maryanne Salvat On February - 17 - 2023

The Miami Design District welcomes back The Miami Symphony Orchestra, proclaimed the Official Symphony Orchestra of the City of Miami, for a community open-air concert outside the neighborhood’s 100-yearold Moore Building.
Taking place on Monday, February 20th and supported by Mayor Francis Suarez, the concert is produced by famed musician and producer Emilio Estefan and hosted by Dacra CEO & President, Craig Robins.
Kicking off at 6:30PM with opening performances by Jon Secada and The Tenors, the Miami Design District will be closing off NE 40th Street, paved by a signature red carpet, to make way for the celebration, which is free and open to the public.
Followed by the opening performances, Maestro Eduardo Marturet will recreate the original 1922 official concert repertoire in collaboration with Emilio Estefan. Built in 1921, The Moore Building is the neighborhood’s most historic venue and also home to renowned architect Zaha Hadid’s iconic site-specific installation, “Elastika.”
One hundred years into its remarkable history and now under the stewardship of hospitality company WoodHouse, The Moore Building is being reimagined as a restaurant, executive workspace, boutique hotel and private members club, known as The Moore.
Breathing new life into the Miami landmark, WoodHouse will transform The Moore Building into the new social home of the Miami Design District.

Lacoste Returns to 2022 Miami Open!

Posted by Maryanne Salvat On March - 22 - 2022

Lacoste, will be returning to Miami this spring as an official sponsor of this year’s 2022 Miami Open. Over the course of the Open festivities, between March 21st and April 3rd, Lacoste will be unveiling various consumer activations to bring a new sense of excitement to the sport, for both the attending worldwide tennis audience and local Miami community.

Such activations will include a three-story, entirely customized Lacoste x Hard Rock Retail Tent, providing attendees with an all-immersive Lacoste experience down in Miami. While the first floor will be devoted to a Lacoste boutique, floor two of the tent will include unique consumer moments such as a Lacoste customization station, offering a collection of patches, vinyl graphics that will be available for participants to heat press on to select Lacoste apparel. Participants will be able to choose between the right and left sleeves, back of the shirt below the collar and on the chest on the opposite side of the Lacoste croc.  As customizations are being created, guests will also have the luxury to dine on the third floor lounge.

During match time, attendees at the open will further be able to go digital with Lacoste participating in the Lacoste “Spot The Croc!” Challenge – incentivising them to take an image of the Lacoste croc logo on-site and text it in for a chance to receive daily Lacoste merchandise prizes!

Finally, between March 24th and April 1st, Lacoste will be teaming up with Lebron James’ UNKNWN to take over its Miami store location, reconfiguring its usual on-site basketball court into two touch tennis counts for attendees to enjoy. Not only will this activation serve as a space for Open participants to play but it will also house, throughout the tournament, various viewing parties, Lacoste pop-up shop experiences, and more.
