2014PHeaSt_Logo_dateTaste the Harvest at the 3rd Annual PHeaSt

The region’s rock-star growers and top-tier chefs will combine their talents for “PHeaSt,” the extraordinary garden-to-table celebration, on Friday, October 17, 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Navy Yard in South Philadelphia. The third annual PHeaSt, hosted by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, brings together the region’s renowned chefs and urban growers for a unique party to benefit the PHS City Harvest program. The event has been a sell-out each year, as hundreds of Philly-area foodies come to sample amazing, new seasonal dishes by the culinary and gardening teams. PHeaSt transforms the PHS Warehouse at the Navy Yard, home to recycled props from the Philadelphia Flower Show, into an industrial-chic party setting. Guests are invited to roam from table to table to enjoy the garden-fresh dishes, chat with the chefs, and get gardening tips from the growers. New this year, the “Fruits of the Vine” wine pull will include more than 100 bottles of wine donated by individuals and Fine Wine & Good Spirits. The bottles are valued between $20 and $300 each. For $20, guests may try their luck and select one bottle in a wine bag. Tickets are on sale now. General admission tickets are $150 (PHS members $135). VIP tickets are $300 (PHS members $275) and include early admission at 6:00 p.m., a private culinary demo, and a special gift; For information, visit PHSonline.org.
