Hollywood descended upon Miami in more ways than one on “New Year’s Eve week” on South Beach, a place where one night just isn’t enough to bid adieu to a stellar year and usher in a new one. Aside from the numerous celebrity sightings outlined in our Celebrity Sightings section, Supermodel Amber Arbucci joined longtime friend and South Beach philanthropist, nightlife impresario and construction mogul/developer (our Swiss Army Knife of friends) Michael Capponi, and developer Moses Bensusan, to throw one of the best parties of the season on Saturday, December 28, at the Soho Beach House.  The debut party for the Costa Hollywood condo resort, was aptly dubbed Hollywood Meets Hollywood, and celebrated the addition of Capponi to the development team at Costa Hollywood and served as a formal introduction to SoBe’s fast-growing sister to the north, Hollywood Beach Village, an up-and-coming beachfront haven.

Famous faces in attendance included Jamie Foxx, who arrived with his two daughters and was spotted in the DJ booth alongside DJ Irie. Foxx graciously took photos with excited fans. Other notables included singer/producer Dallas Austin, Zoey Kravitz (Lenny Kravitz’s daughter), boxer Andre Berto, and reality TV personality Marysol Patton.

Select works from acclaimed nightlife photographer, Seth Browarnik’s Art of Night exhibit provided a fitting backdrop for the glitzy party, depicting the many celebrities who have graced the sands of Miami Beach over the past 15 years and bringing home the “Hollywood” theme. Browarnik was also on-hand for the evening, excitedly sharing anecdotes about the impressive photos, which offered a glimpse of his upcoming collaboration with Costa Hollywood, as select pieces from Browarnik’s impressive celebrity catalogue will be housed at the project upon its completion in spring 2015.

In addition to bringing together a stylish set of Miami socials, the event raised $10,000 to benefit the Haiti Empowerment Mission, a cause spearheaded by Capponi.  During the evening, Bensusan presented Capponi with a check for the cause.

Bensusan announced earlier this month the addition of Capponi to the Costa project.  Capponi will play a key role in the branding, sales, marketing and development of strategic partnerships for Costa Hollywood. He will also help curate more than five restaurants, lounges and high-end retail encompassing the ground floor of the oceanfront development’s highly anticipated Hollywood Beach Village location.
