Celebrities Come to Town for Labor Day Fun

Ciroc Launch Event at the Dream Hotel 

In addition to a great vibe, a beautiful rooftop sunset, and a cast of some of Miami  notables, there was plenty to celebrate at the CIROC Amaretto Launch event with OK Magazine held at the Dream South Beach Tuesday night.  The event was hosted by Jason Derulo, with sounds by DJ Michelle Pooch, (yes, the philanthropist and socialite is a DJ too!) on the heels of Derulo’s single release Marry Me.  To show her support of her soon to be fiancé and the song that was a tribute to her, Grammy nominated American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks also made a guest appearance at the event.  Others in attendance to welcome the newest member of the CIROC family included world acclaimed artist Domingo Zapato, NFL Star Jeremy Shockey, DJ Laz, Mack (Y100), Adam Kuperstein (NBC6) and Chef Richard Ingraham and Johanna Gomez (Channel 10).

Hyde Beach Pool Party 

Celebrities came out to enjoy Pool House Saturdays at Hyde Beach at SLS Hotel South Beach this past on Saturday during Labor Day.  Actress and TV personality Kristin Cavallari and her husband, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, spent the day relaxing on a daybed and ordering several food items. The couple was happy to pose with fans and were spotted enjoying the infamous oversized cocktails bowls at Hyde Beach.  Also enjoying the party was actor Lorenzo Lamas and his wife, Shawna Craig. Shawna posted several updates on her social media channels throughout the afternoon. The duo ordered Heineken bottles and snacked on oysters and skirt steak. 

 

Labor Day Bash at the Surfcomber 

Saturday and Sunday afternoon the Lion’s Den Pool lounge at the Surfcomber Hotel,  put together one of the best Labor Day weekend pool parties in South Beach.   DJs including DJ Trouble, DJ Sandman and DJ Knowledge kept the party rocking.     Saturday also included a birthday celebration for producer Stephan Morris.   The event was hosted by one of the of the most expensive vodkas in town: Tsars vodka, which    retails for over $300 a bottle.  With the nightclub mark-up, it would cost around two thousand bucks. Sources say it’s worth every penny.

“The Birdman” Hosts a Meet and Greet at TigerDirect 

TigerDirect.com, a subsidiary of Systemax, welcomed the Miami Heats Chris Birdman Andersen last Saturday at its corporate headquarters for a special autograph signing to celebrate and showcase LGs 4K TV.  When Andersen arrived to TigerDirect on Saturday afternoon, he was greeted by a line of hundreds of fans, which began to form at 6:00 am that morning.  The long line of local Miami Heat fans was comprised of Birdman followers of all ages, some decked out in Miami Heat gear while others paid homage to the Birdman by sporting their own signature mohawks. In addition to the LG 4K TV experience, the first 150 attendees left with an autographed photo of Birdman, two guests won an autographed 2013 championship basketball, and one lucky grand prize winner walked away with a Miami Heat jersey signed by Chris Birdman Andersen himself.  Additionally, Andersen graciously signed a wide variety of Heat memorabilia brought along by the attendees including sneakers, Heat jerseys, basketballs and even some very impressive, fan-created artwork featuring images of the Birdman in action.  Andersens fans were also able to take photos with their Miami Heat hero and upon meeting him in person, the collective message to him was, Lets win it again this year!
