Leading the restaurant’s “scratch kitchen” is dynamic, executive chef Erica Nicholl, a rising talent with a passion for creating expressive fare with a Southern disposition. A Dallas-native and award-winning pastry chef, Erica has worked in a number of notable kitchens throughout her hometown –
including George Bush’s Presidential Library and the prominent Crescent Hotel by Rosewood
Hotels & Resorts, named one of Condé Nast Traveler’s “Top 100 Hotels,” where she maintained
executive positions in both the savory and pastry kitchens while also preparing private meals for A-list celebrities, dignitaries and notables.
Erica’s Contemporary American cuisine blurs the lines between modern dishes and comfort food at Pilar, while pulling inspiration from Florida’s fresh bounty, integrating hints of her Texas roots and ensuring that every sauce, soup and accompaniment that touches the plate has been made in-house for

Named after Ernest Hemingway’s famed fishing boat, Pilar Local Restaurant & Bar’s décor offers an
inviting, airy dining retreat featuring nautical and pearl accents, glass-blown pendant lights, dark

The restaurant is open seven days a week from 11:30 a.m. until 10 p.m.
(Monday – Friday); 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. (Saturday – Sunday). Private events with custom-catered

For guests on-the-go, a “Business Lunch” special is available Monday – Friday from 11:30 a.m. until
3 p.m. offering a three course meal for $13.95. To unwind after work, “Happy Hour” is available
daily at the bar from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. with half off cocktails and wines and $6 bar bites, including
the celebrated Fish Tacos with the fish of the day, arugula, pico de gallo and a drizzle of chipotle
