Batch Gastropub celebrates their new brunch with a bang sure to please foodies and brunch connoisseurs from all over. Guests can indulge with $20 Bottomless Mimosas, Sangria, Bellinis & a delectable Brunch Menu Saturday through Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Standing by their “Quality vs. Quantity” motto, Batch Gastropub patiently perfected selections before releasing their full brunch menu. Brunch-goers will savor the new additions, such as the Batch Hash ‘n’ Egg which features pork belly and short rib served with potato, red onion, and a sunny side up egg. Another new dish is the Belgium Waffle & Country Fried Chicken made with maple butter, powdered sugar, and sticky honey chicken served on top of a finger-liking-good Belgium waffle. The Restaurant at the Setai Wine Dinner Series
The Restaurant at the Setai continues its monthly Wine Dinner series on Thursday, August 28 at 7:30 pm. Guests are invited for an intimate evening to enjoy a four-course menu designed by Executive Chef, Mathias Gervais, paired with guest winery, Bodega El Porvenir de Cafayate. On Saturday, August 30 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Chef Mathias will be hosting an interactive cooking class where guests will have the opportunity to learn to prepare The Restaurant’s Langoustine and Hamachi. Heroes’ Salute Event Planned for Labor Day Weekend in Middle Keys
Head to Hawks Cay Resort in the Keys to celebrate Labor Day and enjoy extra perks if you are a member of the military, or work for the fire or police department or in the medical field. Enjoy specially priced rooms and recreational programs as part of the annual Heroes Salute Tribute Weekend held Friday through Sunday, August 29 to September 1. Highlights of the weekend include a Heroes Salute 5K and post-race celebration, Family Fun Night with Touch-A-Truck, games and contests, live country music concert by Daniel Lee Martin, an all-American barbeque and a tribute ceremony with fireworks over the Atlantic Ocean. The Family Fun Night is set for 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday and is free and open to the public. On Saturday, the Heroes Salute 5K Run/Walk kicks off at 8 a.m., followed by a post-race party. Also scheduled for Saturday is a waterfront evening cookout and photographic video tribute at sunset to honor fallen heroes and those formerly and currently in action. Sunday features an American-style barbecue, live music performance from Daniel Lee Martin and fireworks show to conclude the evening. The Heat of Fashion Designer Competition Runway Fashion Show
Join The Atlantic Hotel & Spa for the Semi-Finals Live Mannequin Presentation as fifteen semi-finalists battle it out to win a coveted spot in The Heat of Fashion Designer Competition Runway Fashion Show. These fifteen contestants, composed of students and recent college graduates, successfully made it past the online voting period and into round two. During the evening, the contestants will each be showcasing two designs, on models, to the South Florida community. Throughout the Semi-Finals Live Mannequin Presentation, there will be a cocktail reception where guests will be able to purchase an array of eclectic hors d’oeuvres and cocktails from the hotel restaurant, Beauty & the Feast Bar|Kitchen’s, globally inspired American menu. This elite judging panel will select the top eight finalists, which will be announced on Sunday, September 7. These lucky finalists will then go on to present their collections in The Heat of Fashion Designer Competition Runway Fashion Show, which will take place on September 20 at The Atlantic Hotel & Spa. The winner of the Runway Fashion Show Finale will be selected based upon certain criteria; including originality, innovation, concept and inspiration behind the design, choice of fabric and trims, written and visual explanation of the design, technical awareness, wear-ability and commercial viability.
