Clarins and FEED National Million Meal Mission

Clarins and FEED are proud to announce the launch of this year’s National Million Meal Mission. This new, exciting venture aims to provide 1,200,000 meals to children around the world in 17 days – starting on April 22nd, and ending on May 8th, 2016. Nine retailers across the country (including Macy’s) will be offering a FEED 10 pouch filled with deluxe Clarins products. Each pouch provides 10 meals to children, helping them grow, learn and thrive – an investment in their futures.

Widely recognized for his creation of the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach and New York City Wine & Food Festivals, festival impresario Lee Brian Schrager brings his hometown of Miami yet another indulgent fête on Sunday, April 24 at Magic City Casino to brate the launch of his third cookbook AMERICA’S BEST BREAKFASTS: Favorite Local Recipes from Coast to Coast (Clarkson Potter; On Sale now).  Like Schrager’s Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival (SOBEWFF®), which celebrated its 15th edition this past February, all proceeds from the event will benefit the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management at Florida International University. Participants will compete for the chance to be crowned the People’s Choice Award-winner during the brunch and head to Schrager’s Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival this October.  Plus, chefs also have the opportunity to capture the Judge’s Choice Award, led by Miami New Times’ Short Order’s own Laine Doss and including esteemed panelists Burger Beast, Ingrid Hoffmann, WSVN’s Belkys Nerey and City of Miami Beach firefighters Michael and Michelle Viera, who took home top honors from the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival’s Midnight Breakfast hosted by Chrissy Teigen this past February.

Miami Beach’s modern Asian inspired dining destination, Bazi, has announced the date of its next monthly Kaiseki dinner. Taking place on Wednesday, April 27 the team has added two seating options at 6:00 and 9:00 p.m, each limited to eight seats. Adventurous diners can enjoy an extravagantone-of-a-kind experience featuring 10-12 courses of carefully curated and artistically arranged dishes prepared by James Beard Award semi-finalist, Chef Mike Pirolo, and Chefde Cuisine Brett Collier. Each course will be paired with a unique beverage by Beverage Director William Rivas ranging from fruit infused sakes to authentic Asian teas. Hosted monthly at the restaurant’s downstairs bar, an intimate setting limited to eight seats, each seating. Priced at $150 (including tax and tip), each Kaiseki dinner promises to be different from the one before, providing a rare curated experience. NOBE67 – a pop-up that looks to blend art and fashion in a fun way – announces its Miami opening. The pop-up, which will be located in the heart of Wynwood at the White Dot Gallery,2245 NW 2nd Avenue, and will be open from April 22nd through May 8th, will showcase the collections of today’s up and coming designers as well as more established ones alongside the works of premier artists and unique installations. Some of the designers include Charles Philip Shanghai, Marieclaire St. John, Manebi, Moda Zeta, Gelareh Mizrahi, Palme D’Or Swimwear, Dauntless- New York, among others.Aside from the amazing fashion and art, NOBE67 will be partnering with local organizations to offer its clients various events and activities such as meet and greets with featured artists and fashion influencers, trunk shows, happy hours with Baby Jane Pop Up Bar founded by Jason Odio and the pop-up’s opening party. The Cushman School Gala: Through the Looking Glass

The Cushman School celebrates “Through the Looking Glass” Gala, Saturday, April 30, from 7:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m., at Mana Wynwood, raising funds to benefit PLAY TO LEARN, a campaign to bring a new performing arts and athletic center to the school and community. This year’s artistic theme, “Through the Looking Glass,” also takes a playful spin on the widely popular fairy-tale classic Alice in Wonderland inspiring guests to dress in 18th-century Victorian and Steampunk fashionable wear to celebrate the night. Attracting more than 500 area patrons – from parents, community leaders, friends and local luminaries – the school’s premier fundraising event will rally campaign support around the school’s first-ever Arts center that will be designed to further strengthen and enrich its performing arts and athletic programs for students and the community.
