On Wednesday September 12, Miami Socialholic had the chance to meet with D’USSE Cognac’s Cellar Master, Michel Casavecchia, at Red the Steakhouse, while he was visiting Miami from Cognac, France. D’USSE Cognac is a byproduct of a partnership between Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter and Bacardi Limited and while Jay-Z leads global strategy for the brand, it is also Michel’s unrelenting commitment to creating D’USSE’s bold, unique flavor that has made the drink a universal sensation. This year’s Cheers for CHOP 2015 at the Valley Forge Casino was probably one of the most fun events of the year. Benefitting the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Child Life activities, one of the first programs in the country to recognize the therapeutic value of play for hospitalized children; Friends of CHOP brought the “fun” in fundraiser. With over 700 guests in attendance the philanthropic young influencers raised nearly $675,000 benefitting the amazing cause.

On the eve of New Year’s Eve, Beyoncé, Jay Z , Gloria Estefan and Emilio Estefan dined at Seasalt and Pepper on the Miami River. Chef Alfredo Alvarez sent over pappardelle, lobster risotto and seafood casserole at the couple’s request thereby ending their 22 day vegan challenge. 

The same night, French chef, restaurateur and TV personality Eric Ripert was seen at The Raleigh dining at Restaurant Michael Schwartz. 

Ryan Phillippe and girlfriend Paulina Slagter rang in the New year at Wall nightclub at the W hotel. The pair was seen kissing and cuddling before the countdown. 

Belvedere Vodka celebrated New Year’s Eve in Miami at SLS Hotel South Beach with Robin Thicke and musician Skylar Grey. According to our source, “The dapper Mr. Thicke arrived solo dressed in a festive black suit rocking sunglasses. Wife Paula Patton was noticeably absent on the carpet and throughout the performance although she was seen around the hotel and spotted having a private pre-event dinner with her hubby.  Guests rang in the new year with the Gatsby themed party complete with Thicke’s live performances including hits Blurred Lines and his rendition of Give it 2 U.” The event also marked the launch of Belvedere Vodka’s Silver Saber, the first laser cut bottle with light-up LED technology. 

On New Year’s Day, Beyoncé, Jay Z and Kelly Rowland went for a post NYE brunch at Cecconi’s. They ordered a la carte and had calamari, octopus, truffle pizza and truffle pasta. The rest of their crew enjoyed the New Year’s feast. 

That night, Ryan Phillipe took Paulina Slagter to Seasalt and Pepper for dinner. Again Chef  Alvarez was more than happy to send over dishes for the couple, who was also seen at the SLS.

English glamour model, Maria Fowler dined at Villa Azur on Thursday, January 2 with friends. She is best known for her TV show The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) the award-winning reality TV show based in England.  Fowler was with 13 friends at one large table in the center of the garden and wore a beautiful orange bandeau dress. She seemed very happy and danced around the table with friends after dinner. 

Actress Katie Holmes dined at Hakkasan at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach with a lady friend last Thursday.   

Bob Sinclar was spotted dining at Seasalt and Pepper on Saturday before spinning at Wall. 

This past Tuesday evening Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland surprised fans at Sing Sing Miami joining in on some Karaoke fun.  

Sofia Vergara was seen dining with friends at the private Club Bar at Soho Beach after midnight on August 10. 

Emmy award-winning actress, Kristin Chenoweth was spotted poolside at W South Beach Hotel & Residences. Chenoweth was in town celebrating her assistant and best friend, Julie Trussell’s, bachelorette party.  She was seen toasting with friends in a private W South Beach cabana. 

On Saturday night, Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake performed at Sun Life Stadium for the Miami edition of their Legends of Summer concert tour.  After the concert, Timberlake held a late-night concert at the Fillmore that went from 2:45- 4:00 a.m. and Jay-Z held court alongside Rhianna and Kevin Hart at Mansion. 

Last week, SNL cast member Kenan Thompson dined at SUGARCANE RAW BAR GRILL with his wife and artist Miguel Paredes and his girlfriend.  They sat at the bar outside, enjoyed tapas and tequila.

Recently at Zuma:  Don Omar was spotted enjoying dinner with a large group of friends, sitting on the riverfront terrace. Also spotted joining the table, race car driver Marco Andretti.

On August 7, the players from AC Milan, Real de Madrid, Chelsea, Juventus and other teams partied it up at Bâoli after their game in Miami.  Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba, Arturo Vidal, Claudio Marchisio, Angelo Ogbonna, Alessandro Matteo, Sebastian Giovinco, Giorgio Chillini, Stephan El Shaarawy, Riccardo Montolvio and Cristiano Ronaldo attended  Bâoli’s  famous “My Boyfriend’s Out Of Town” party.  Cristiano Ronaldo ordered two bottles of Perrier-Joüet Belle Epoque champagne. Some models were waiting at his table before he even got there.

Matt Damon returned to his old Miami neighborhood on a recent Friday night to fulfill his craving for authentic Italian food from Café Prima Pasta, a local restaurant he and his wife frequented weekly while living in Miami.  Damon ordered almost one of everything to-go (more than 15 dishes).  He also took home a bottle of Ferllen Malbec from his wife’s native country of Argentina.

Fresh from releasing his new single “Can’t Believe It” featuring Pitbull, rapper Flo Rida was spotted at SLS Hotel South Beach recently with a bevy of pretty ladies. Flo enjoyed several magnum bottles of Laurent-Perrier Brut Rose with friends at Hyde Beach.

This season, supermodel and Beach Bunny 2013 brand ambassador Irena Shayk debuted her collaboration with the Beach Bunny Brand: Irina Shayk for Beach Bunny, while Sports Illustrated cover model, Chrissy Teigen also showcased her line, Chrissy Teigen for Beach Bunny Bride.  Both were front row for the show, which took place Friday, July 19 at the Raleigh.

Queen Latifah worked out with a personal trainer at Equinox South Beach over the weekend, which we assume facilitated her choice of wearing skinny jeans during her “America, the Beautiful” performance on Super Bowl Sunday.  Also, Dallas Cowboy’s Miles Austin visited The Spa at Equinox South Beach post workout to enjoy a 90-minute rub down.

Sushi Samba was celeb-central during Super Bowl week, starting on Wednesday when Ross Mathews, correspondent a.k.a. “Ross the Intern” from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno; Elizabeth Berkley (Lisa Turtle from Saved by the Bell); and national correspondent for Fox News, Phil Keating.  Mathews, a personal friend of Sushi Samba Managing Partner, Matthew Johnson, “crossed the bridge” earlier that afternoon to check-out Sugarcane raw bar grill, the latest concept from the Sushi Samba group that opened in January 2010.  Katie Cassidy was at Sushi Samba on Thursday as was Wilmer Valderrama, who returned Friday night; seen schmoozing with Cassidy and later sending over a round of shots. The Wayans brothers were also spotted at Sushi Samba on Saturday.  On Sunday, the Wayans bowled the night away at Lucky Strike Lanes with a Super Bowl party that started at 6:00 p.m. until after midnight. Other celebrities spotted at Lucky Strike included Richard Marshall from the Carolina Panthers and DeSean Jackson from the Philadelphia, Randy McMichael from the St. Louis Rams, Charles Godfrey from the Carolina Panthers, and Antoine Walker, a retired basketball player formerly of the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks, Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves.

 Over at the Alene Too pop-up shop at the 944 Hotel at the Eden Roc:  TV personality Lo Bosworth from The Hills who texted friend Stephanie Pratt to “hurry over.”  Stephanie Pratt and co-star Lo arrived late and had the boutique re-opened.

 Condoleezza Rice dined with a friend at Todd English’s da Campo Osteria for lunch on Sunday. The former Secretary of State was diplomatic as usual, acting graciously with the restaurant staff while feasting on items off the northern-Italian inspired menu pre-Super Bowl.  

 Coco de Ville, the new hotspot at the Gansevoort hosted Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick who arrived unannounced with a group of friends on Saturday night.

 On Thursday night, a bunch of stars from the upcoming movie Grown Ups dined at STK, including: Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, David Spade and Kevin James.  Adam Sandler danced to the DJ’s music and cracked jokes at the table while cutting his steak and the entire table commented on the server’s striking resemblance to fellow funny man Eddie Murphy.  Tuesday night, “quasi celebs” Mike “The Situation” and Pauly D. from Jersey Shore came in for dinner at STK for their last night in Miami.

At Tao’s Super Bowl pop up party at the W South Beach’s Wall nightclub, celeb DJ Swizz Beatz,  producer of Jay Z’s Empire State of Mine, played the song over and over again for Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter, who were sitting across from each other, but never said hello.  Dave Annable, of hit show, Brothers and Sisters, and his new girlfriend Odette Yustman walked the red carpet hand in hand.

Chris Rock arrived at TAO’s Super Bowl party asking for good friend Jamie Foxx.  After learning he was not in the building, he opted to sit with fellow funny guy David Spade until Jamie Foxx finally joined him and then they both jumped on the mic, with Chris Rock singing the Run DMC song line I’m the KING of ROCK.

Kristen Cavallari was ecstatic after visiting the Motorolla gifting suite by the pool at TAO’s pop-up Super Bowl party at W South Beach where she received her new Droid phone.

After last week’s season premiere marking the shows final season, “Lost” actor Josh Halloway attended TAO’s pop- up Super Bowl party at W South Beach’s Wet & Wall.
