Craig Robins & Vincent BrunVacheron Constantin, the world’s oldest Haute Horlogerie manufacturer with 260 years of uninterrupted history, celebrated the opening of its new Miami Design District boutique on Thursday, February 5th with a night of festivities at the prestigious Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM).

The event, hosted by Vincent Brun, President of Vacheron Constantin North America, and Craig Robins, President and CEO of DACRA, allowed guests to experience the world of Haute Horlogerie and to interact with Vacheron Constantin Master Artisans and Watchmakers flown in from Geneva. New and exceptional Vacheron Constantin timepieces were displayed, alongside a historical exhibition from the Maison’s private collection. “Constantinis” – a specialty martini made of vodka, basil, lime and mint – and hors d’oeuvres were served, accompanied with a live music performance. Fashion, Fame and Fun Reign during Art Basel Miami 2012

Arguably the best week of the year in South Florida, what began as a four-day extension of the Basel, Switzerland fair, Art Basel Miami has grown in scope, style and fashion in its 11 year history.  The festivities surrounding the most important art show in the world have expanded to include celebrations extending to magnificent proportions filling the dance cards of internationally renowned art collectors, enthusiasts, celebrities, fashion stalwarts and socialites for a 10-day weekend second-to-none in the Magic City.  While we proudly wear our Swarovski Crystal encrusted “I survived Art Basel” badges we share a few of our favorite events and experiences below.  Be sure to check back next week for more of the celebrations, celebrity sightings and sheer joy of this, most wonderful time of the year. Caught in the Webster

The Webster drew quite the VIP crowd to its grand opening on Monday. the-webster With a caviar café and three floors of stunning clothes and accessories for women and men, the Webster inaugurated its permanent locale with a soiree that was more bash than boutique opening.  It seemed everyone we’ve ever met anywhere (with the exception of those traveling abroad) braved the elements to celebrate and marvel at the pricey designer duds. Guests experienced the first tastes of Caviar Kaspia, with passed hors d ‘oeuvres including Bilinis with Taram and Chives, Mini Creamer Twice Baked Potato, Crème Fraiche, Caviar, Foie Gras on Toast and Guerande Salt and Salmon Balik Lillipop, Lemon and Chive Aioli provided by the renowned Parisian institution located on the ground floor of The Webster.   The party was only supposed to go until nine, but was still hopping after ten o’clock, due perhaps to the free flowing Grey Goose and the “Webster Cocktails” (a mix of vodka, champagne, and Remy Cointreau violets and pearls), and the fact that it was actually indoors, where temperatures are actually bearable.
