399071674949278446-rosablanca250-b_fullRosa Blanca Café at Dilworth Park, in collaboration with the Center City District, has opened a newly designed garden seating area on the PNC Terrace. In addition, Wednesday and Thursday nights will now feature live musical performances, DJs and happy hour specials, complementing other programs and free events at Dilworth Park throughout the summer season.

Renowned landscape architect, Groundswell Design Group designed the enhancements to the PNC Terrace, featuring a new garden bar, with elevated planters with colorful flora, new furniture, umbrellas and market lights to enhance the al fresco dining experience in Dilworth Park.

Along with the menu of traditional favorites, including empanadas and the Cuban sandwich, Rosa Blanca recently added the Tomate sandwich, which features tomatoes, queso fresco, arugula, almond mojo, and a sherry reduction.  The cafe will be offering guacamole and other specials on Wednesday and Thursday entertainment nights.

Rosa Blanca also offers a selection of craft beers, Spanish wine, and unique cocktails from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. on the weekend. Wednesday nights will feature the Center City District Sips specials, $3.00 beers, $4.00 wines, and $5.00 cocktails featuring Two Gingers Whiskey.

Thursdays during the new music program, Rhythms at Rosa Blanca, the café will offer $5.00 beers, $6.00 wines, and $7.00 cocktails from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. Other Happy Hour specials that will be available other evenings from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. will include $4.00 select cans, $6.00 house wines and $7.00 for a Dilworth Rum Punch.

Beginning Wednesday, July 8 and continuing every Wednesday through September 16, Rosa Blanca at Dilworth Park will highlight the new outdoor space by participating in the summertime tradition in the city, Center City District Sips. This city-wide Happy Hour program from 5:00-7:00 p.m. will be featured at Rosa Blanca with a live DJ from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The DJs will play tropical, Latin, reggae and summer fun music. Beginning Thursday, July 9, from 5:30 -7:30 p.m., Rhythms at Rosa Blanca will debut with De Tierra Caliente, performing a fusion of Brazilian, Caribbean, and American rhythms with catchy melodies and unaffected lyrics. They will return and perform again on August 27, September 10, and September 17.

July 16, 23, 30 and August 13, 5:30 -7:30 p.m. will feature Trinidelphia, Philadelphia’s premier Caribbean Steel Drum combo. August 20, 5:30 -7:30 p.m., will feature reggae and roots musician, Rafael Pondé. September 3, 5:30 -7:30 p.m., wil l feature El Caribefunk, whose fun upbeat style brings together funk, salsa, and elements of Caribbean music, including calypso.

Rosa Blanca Café at Dilworth Park is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. The menu includes a selection of pastries, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, salads, and signature empanadas. Guests can also enjoy an enticing menu of Garces Trading Company coffees and espresso-based beverages like the authentic café con leche, lattes, macchiatos and Americanos.
